The huggable teddy bear that mirrors your loved one's hand movement. Each iXu Bear is exclusively paired with another so that when you stroke the back of the first bear, the hand movement is mirrored by the arm movement of the second bear in real-time.

The idea is great, I'm very curious to see the future iterations of the product.

Pros:

The idea of connecting with your nearest and dearest across long distances is very appealing.

Cons:

I'd like the product to be available in different designs or colors.

Hey PH, This is Jussi from JoyHaptics, one of the makers behind the iXu huggable bear. After 3 years of extensive research and development, we’re finally ready to share our iXu Bear with the world! In a world in which humans are more connected than ever, we have never been physically more isolated from each other. The embraces or touches of a loved one are one of the most important ways we maintain the deep bonds and strong connections we have formed with the people we care about. That’s why we made the iXu Bear - we want to help families and couples live happier and healthier lives helping them feel closer to their loved ones. The bears are also the first product of its kind to use technology based “C-Tactile” science. C-Tactile touch fibers exist in our skin and are crucial for parental bonding and providing a sense of closeness for couples. We’d love to hear your feedback and I’d be happy to answer any questions you have!
A really cool product to help people feel closer to their family and partners. It's also based on some interesting science, which is worth taking a look at.

Nope

Pros:

As a father of two this sounds a great way to make them happy when away.

Cons:

None so far.

It took way too long to get to the product. We know what it is because of the description but the video is dragging on for too long and I stopped before even getting to the bear. Sorry. I'll try again soon and see how it really is. But, that might be a big reason why it struggles a bit so far. Try a shorter version if you can. Really, might help a lot.
