About

iPhone X Web-Viewer is a fun and satire product from the guys at Kreativgebiet. The new notch on the iPhone X is a little annoying when using the phone in landscape mode. That's why we made this. Don't take this too serious, though.

I was curious to see what my portfolio would look like but that didn't work so I tried a few popular websites that also didn't work. Also there is no portrait support.

I'm sure with improvements this can be a really useful site.

Pros:

The idea

Cons:

It doesn't work

you need to put whole address in link bar with https: first it wasn't working for me as well.
Hey Sam! The creator here. As the description points out, this is more of a satirical page. I just thought about the bezel and created this page. So don't take it too serious.

This will *not* be how the iPhone X—or any app developer with more than half a brain—handles "the notch". This "simulation" is like an angry child.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

This satire is quite foolish. I like good satire; this is just whiney.

tried with http:// and without... black screen.

Pros:

Cool idea

Cons:

Didn't work for me...

Same here :/ Black screen...
It means your website doesn't allow embedding in iframes (which is a good thing btw)

I'm sorry, but this isn't at all accurate. When you view a website on iPhone X (that hasn't been especially optimised for iPhone X), it automatically adds margin down the left and right so that the notch and rounded corners do NOT obscure any content.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Very misleading.

Not a correct representation of how iPhone X handles websites.

Wow, you didn't get the joke.
How did you get that simulator. Is that from Xcode?

Didn't work at all, just came up with an error page inside the phone

Pros:

Nice idea

Cons:

Didn't work :(

Tested and doesn't work. Always Page not found

Pros:

The idea

Cons:

Doesn't work

Pointless

Pros:

NO,NO,NO

Cons:

all,

It has wonder the notch in the viewer will look like this from left it should show the notifications and battery on left in landscape view.

Pros:

It's the only tool I have for now nobody has tried it yet

Cons:

I don't think it's close to actual mobile.

how can i use this?

Pros:

Nice idea. you are so fast.

Cons:

it dose not work.

This does not represent reality

Pros:

Nope

Cons:

#fakeproduct

Solid and simple; easy to use. I like that it allows most of the site functionality once it has been brought up on the iPhone screen.

Pros:

Love the rendering and how the in-page links are active

Cons:

Specify that "http://" or "https://" are needed in the link

sites wont load and there are so few users browsing the web in landscape on their phones that the missing portait mode is more funny than the concept

Pros:

idea

Cons:

no portait mode

Has promise. Needs to make a few UI changes starting with a Portrait mode and it'll be a lot better

Pros:

The notch is just as annoying as its in real life

Cons:

Needs Portrait more than the landscape mode

Some other hunters are complaining that even the landscape mode isn't accurate, I can't be sure, but I was particularly expecting it to let me test my website in vertical mode; and well it doesn't allow that

Pros:

Landscape mode (I guess?)

Cons:

Only landscape mode
