@shashwatpradhan @emberify Also, do the iOS app track app usage?
Shashwat Pradhan@shashwatpradhan · CEO/Founder @emberify
@joshdance @emberify nope, no public APIs for app tracking in iOS right now. We will definitely add it once it opens up, we had tried using a private API for app tracking which we had to remove. You can partially get that data through your battery settings tho.

@shashwatpradhan looks neat. What is your edge over apps like Quality Time and (OFFTIME)?
Shashwat Pradhan@shashwatpradhan · CEO/Founder @emberify
@thedimmick they only track your digital activities. Instant also tracks your places, fitness, travel & sleep.

@shashwatpradhan is the sleep detector similar to Sleep Cycle where you put it near you and it detects motion? Or is it more like if you haven't used your phone for a prolong time, it assumes your sleeping?
Shashwat Pradhan@shashwatpradhan · CEO/Founder @emberify
@mlelien no you don't need to put it near you. It mainly uses your activity and some more night time algorithms to detect sleep.
Helen Crozier@helencrozier · technology coach
@shashwatpradhan so are you saying that if we are not on our phone at night it assumes we are sleeping? I often get up in the morning and don't turn my phone up until I get back from a walk - Fitbit integration will help but until then my data could be a bit out of whack yes?
Shashwat Pradhan@shashwatpradhan · CEO/Founder @emberify
@helencrozier it checks activity too. So if you even move your phone a couple of steps it should be able to detect.
Pulkit Agrawal@_pulkitagrawal · Building Better Onboarding @trychameleon
@shashwatpradhan @emberify you could / should develop a platform where you can connect to other services (IoT / fitness tracking) - can't see from the site that you do that - would love to see data such as from https://www.spire.io/ all in one place. could then be really powerful in linking cause and effect too..
Shashwat Pradhan@shashwatpradhan · CEO/Founder @emberify
@_pulkitagrawal @emberify we are looking to link data from other fitness trackers and IoTs through HealthKit & Google Fit
Shashwat Pradhan@shashwatpradhan · CEO/Founder @emberify
@helencrozier we have added Fitbit integration!
