One of my favorite emails are from Netflix, notifying me of new shows/movies that they know I'll like... except when they recommend Gilmore Girls.
@rrhoover oh, netflix says if you like gilmore girls then you'll also like "there will be blood"
@rrhoover I've actually learned to accept the Gilmore Girls suggestions (which come through because my gf is a huge fan). I love that there's a whole viewership who looks at Sebastian Bach and thinks he's famous from Gilmore Girls, and I'm just like, "come on people, he was the singer for Skid Row. They had like 2 huge albums in the '80s" haha.
We all spend longer searching for a show vs watching one! This email newsletter is to help you cut out the largest chunk of your Netflix time Related - There is a bot that helps send you recommendations which is pretty cool: And Chill

Great work @jason @lons, love the daily brief and this looks like a great addition to the network! How do you plan to maintain high quality content with the growing amount of newsletters?
Another cool newsletter option from @jason via @lons. Inasmuch as Netflix recs are cool though, I'd love to see this expand out to broader discussions of streaming across a variety of mediums. I think there's a lot of potential to pick apart how streaming is affecting TV/movies and music, and how those dynamics are evolving out as more time passes. Could be a cool addition to the recs section. :) Great job Jason and Lon!
No one I trust more about cool shows to watch than @lons
@raydawg88 @lons lon is awesome... he gives the best wild card TV show/movie recommendations -- always has!
