Thanks for the Hunt Chris! People are flying less and road-tripping more often which provides us the right moment to introduce our iPhone app to the market. Our mission at HearHere is to present the stories that are not being told and to always start at the beginning. We want to make road trips memorable, more interesting and exciting. We’ve released v1 of the app that essentially is on rails - as you drive around, you're hearing stories about the places that you're driving through. We’ve decided to focus primarily on California and the West Coast to start with plans to cover the rest of the US by Summer 2021. For Hunters road-tripping on the West Coast, we’ve arranged an exclusive offer of a $1 annual subscription through August 31st on the App Store for iPhone (Android coming in 2021). To redeem, please visit https://app.hearhere.com/redeem and enter the code COOLCAT We look forward to hearing about your journey with HearHere in the near future. Cheers,, Woody Sears, Bill Werlin and Kevin Costner - Founders of HearHere, Inc.

Really love the look of this. Are there any plans to expand the project outside of the US to Europe perhaps? Would love listening along, on a drive through Switzerland :)

@calum once we’ve hit our initial 10k stories in the US we’ll be working on stories abroad too.

Thanks Ethan, I agree! Curating specific drives is on the roadmap and something that would be helpful. I’ll be curious to hear what you think of a day trip with the app now as it is more of a “choose your own adventure” model.

This looks like an awesome app and perfect for those who are planning to do a couple of road trips the coming weeks.. Great timing for the release as well right now as domestic travel has 10x and RV’s are the choice of transport for most people these day. I am curious to hear, where the information comes from that users listen to? I am imagining it’s a tourist style narration which you often see on city busses?

@garthhollis we work with a team of journalists to create the content for the app. I’d say it’s a little less tourist/tour oriented and more historical and cultural.
