It's a great app, I use it for over a year now

Pros:

automate community management, and making people feel welcome

Cons:

Can feel a bit too 'automated' if you dont customize

We are definitely going to work on ideas to make the messages feel more natural in the future. Thanks for bringing this up 🤓

It wasn't clear to me that I could setup both a message to an individual user AND to a channel.

Pros:

Works like a charm, is easy to use, language for programming the bot is plain english.

Cons:

Nothing really. Small bug where if an existing user has the word "new" "user" or "name" in their tag-able username, it makes it tricky.

Thanks for your review Martin! Yes, the "new_user_name" phrase can be tricky. I'll keep your comment in mind when we'll be making updates in the future.

I run a group of 1400+ womxn in tech and Greetbot has helped us dramatically welcome new members and provide information on our group with ease. Also love when new features are added (like being added to ProductHunt) I get a ping from GreetBot with the new additions. Thanks so much, this is a great product.

Pros:

Simple, easy to use & helpful

Cons:

I forget what the calls are to edit/update/change Greetbot sometimes, just have to Google them

Thanks Jess! GreetBot is definitely honored to be part of your community 😃

Been using GreetBot in the past year on a couple of slack groups, does exactly as stated. works great!

Pros:

Simple UI that always works

Cons:

Would love to see statistics, the number of users signed up and if they respond to the greet or not

Good to hear, we've been thinking about stats for a while, it helps to know more people would like to see such a feature. Thanks for sharing!
