Steering the ship @SparkLoopHQ

I've been waiting for a European RobinHood for years. FreeTrade fills the gap and I hope will live up to the expectations :)

Pros:

No fees, great UX, awesome team.

Cons:

Many small features missing like the ability to "favourite" stocks or more advanced reporting but I'm sure these things will come soon.

Free trade is an absolutely fantastic product compared to the legacy stock trading websites/apps, but I am sure it can be improved a lot in many areas.

Cons:

Feature request (Not a cons): LISA, SIPP, More Index Funds and ETF's, Watch List, IPO's, Stock Screener, Web app, News Feed, New stocks

Love this app.

Pros:

Investments with very low fixed fees.

Cons:

It just needs to cover more markets (Europe, Asia), though it does have some etfs for that already

Let us know any ETFs and stocks you'd like to see in the app! 👍

Clean and simple to use

Pros:

Possible to trade shares and etf's for free for small and large amounts!

Cons:

List of shares in the hundreds but soon to be thousands as they continue to grow

We fully agree, Richard! We have an all-star team (Discovery & Insights) working on the problems of helping users exploring stocks and ETFs and showing your investment performance in new, better ways.

can't wait for the ISA

Pros:

Cons:

Add more etf, shares

Founder of Nibble Apps

Love it and recommend it!

Pros:

Freetrade Is great as I can use phrases like “I’m increasing my position on Apple” even though I’ve no idea what I’m talkinh about 😂

Cons:

A bunch of extra features I would like are in their roadmap.

Great product and highly recommend to anyone who’s curious about dabbling in the investment world with minimal barriers to entry.

Pros:

Simple to use, good UI&X, affordable trading

Cons:

Discovery of stocks and ETFs could be better.

Share
Thanks, James! Better discovery is one of our main OKRs for the quarter. 💪

Nice not to be paying fees, charts need work. You can look at charts anywhere though and the interface is generally quite good. I generally buy shares on IG but will probably use this if they are available on there moving forward. Pretty responsive team too.

Pros:

No fees

Cons:

Charts, portfolio layout etc...

Co-founder & COO @Hofy

I think these guys will outperform most of the common retail trading platforms in the UK today. Currently using Hargreaves lansdown but about to move all my money over to Freetrade.

Pros:

Very easy to use interface. Really low fees.

Cons:

Had some trouble uploading money. But they emailed me ASAP and got it sorted.

Freetrade is a really nice stockbroking app. Kind of like the Monzo of stockbrokers. It's easy to pay in. There are no mandatory fees. The UI is really nice and they are adding new features all the time.

Pros:

Really nice UI, no fees and ISAs

Cons:

They are working on new stuff all the time. SIPPs would be a great addition!

Overall amazing company and ethos 😊

Pros:

Free stock transactions?! Great team Getting there app

Cons:

Their app needs a few more features

I wish there was access to more stocks around the world.

Pros:

Free brokerage that is easy to use. The app seems safe and transferring money is pretty quick.

Cons:

The offering of different stocks and international markets can surely be increased. The market data and charts have to be improved

Feels like a revolutionary fintech company changing the outdated investment industry. Great community feel and customer engagement!

Pros:

Transparent, customer first company where you can actually meet the founders and employees. Great app, low prices and no minimum required.

Cons:

It’s new, so not everything is built yet e.g. SIPP’s

Shiv

Great app and great community support.

Pros:

Free trading app, Support within app

Cons:

Not all stocks available but they are adding more

Well executed concept.

Pros:

Excellent app. Free stock trading done right

Cons:

Can't think of any

Simply the most effective and efficient investing mechanism in the UK

Pros:

Affordable transaction fees Transparent management team Robust staff Quick development

Cons:

Yet limited features in comparison with the established giants, but Freetrade keeps up with eliminating its imperfections quite quickly

I'm new to stock trading and it's the perfect app to get you into it!

Pros:

Easy to use, clean UI

Cons:

I'd like a dark mode?

Head of Product, Arts Alliance Media

Keep up the good work team!

Pros:

Super slick app, every purchase has gone through flawlessly. Being able to buy into an ETF at £10 a time is a game-changer

Cons:

Would like to see improvements to search/discovery and perhaps a simple way to invest regularly in a 'bundle' of ETFs

Great app

Pros:

Like the overview on the first page showing the progress of the Stocks. Great Visualation of the Stocks with graphs etc.

Cons:

Haven’t found a way to just view UK stocks or just US stocks in the Discover tab (e.g. view by country or currency would be useful).
