off topic: @rrhoover the tagline of Product hunt is "daily leaderboard of the best new products". How would that fit for example this addition? It's been online since '10, no new update or anything. I'm just wondering whether that is the direction you think Product hunt should be also open to... What do you think @nikitakorotaev as an active hunter?

[off-topic] @yvoschaap @rrhoover I've discovered FontFriend just yesterday. Made a quick search on alternatives. Found a Chrome extension, which is a brand new, but a bit less powerful. Posted FontFriend as thought to be more useful to the community. In my opinion, some of the not-so-well-known old products might be beneficial to the community.

I understand it's new for you personally. But even the linked browser extension was first released in '12. I agree so-called old products can be just as interesting as new ones are. But I feel if age is not a factor, the PH tag line should be different...

[more off topic!] @yvoschaap - great question! That's something I'm thinking a lot about. There are several older products that remain "undiscovered" that deserve the attention; however, that's subjective. I have some ideas but would love to hear your thoughts before tainting your opinion w/ my own. :)

I personally think there has to be something new(s)-worthy. Think of a release, major product update, or pivot. I think allowing hunters only an X amount of contributions/week will make sure there is a focus on the interesting ones. While existing products might deserve attention, let them prove it by showing their latest innovation! Lets continue this discussion with more people in the PH community, so it's on topic!
