@liamboogar nothing much. Switch if lower price, more features makes sense.

@ujjwaltrivedi What are those features? And Slack is free for unlimited users.

@liamboogar Slack costs too much? At least for non profits.

@androidlove @liamboogar Slack is free to use until you need deep integrations.

@liamboogar You shouldn't. Slack is an established company, with a working business model, run by people with a track record of building successful companies, like flickr etc.

@andreasduess slack eats up your messages after 10k messages and you loose all the precious discussions and links you have talked about.

@tunetopj @andreasduess Flock's free tier has a 30 day conversation history, so basically the same deal.

You’re right on the money there @andreasduess. When deciding on a product for your team/company, you want to make sure you’re choosing one with a proven track record. On that note, let me make a case for Flock: Flock is a part of the Directi Group, a $1.4 billion tech conglomerate, with a solid presence in areas as diverse as web presence (domains, hosting, cloud-infrastructure), communication (voice and messaging) and payments. You may visit our website, www.directi.com, to know more about us. Personally, I’ve been a part of the tech industry for over 18 years now. I, along with my team, have built 11 companies, and overseen a successful exit for 5 of them, the latest being the sale of Media.net, for $900 million. You can read more about the deal here - https://techcrunch.com/2016/08/2... We continue to run the following businesses, besides Flock. All of them are bootstrapped, highly profitable and leaders in their respective spaces. Radix - Asia's largest gTLD applicant and owner of 9 TLD’s including .website, .space and .online - www.radix.website Ringo - High quality, low cost calling app with services available in 180 countries globally - www.ringo.co Zeta - A mobile payments platform to digitize compensation and benefits for corporates - www.zeta.in Codechef - A global programming community for young individuals to enhance their programming skills. We currently have an active community of over 300,000 developers - www.codechef.com Flock is one of my newer businesses, launched a year and a half ago. Before taking it to the market, we had used Flock internally for a few years and saw not just a great increase in our team’s productivity but also a positive shift in the company’s culture. Realizing the value the product delivered to our organization, we decided to take it to the global market – a decision that has literally taken the product places. We recently showcased Flock at Techcrunch Disrupt, NY and SF. We’re at the TNW Momentum today, and if you happen to be in NY, you must drop by our booth :)
