FaceApp uses neural networks to modify a face on any photo while keeping it photorealistic. For example, it can add a smile, change gender and age, or just make you more attractive. It takes only one tap to apply a filter.
How is it different from Prisma? Prisma changes the style of a photo, but don’t modify the content. FaceApp changes the content (e. g. add a smile), but keeps the style (so the picture stays photorealistic).
As far as I know there are no products or research papers that can claim similar quality on this task. Please correct me if I am wrong.

@rahulkapoor90 thanks! It depends on your definition of 'soon' :) We are working on new effects, but each of them require quite a lot of work (much more than a typical artistic style transfer filter)
