This looks cool, but the preorder program puts me off. With a vague "summer" ship date and wanting my money up front it sounds like a Kickstarter project a little bit.
@ow Hi Owen, because a lot of the components have multi-month lead times, doing a pre-order is really helpful to forecast demand and help us plan properly. We're live in a number of homes through the Bay Area and are pushing hard to get as many devices into customer hands as soon as we can.
