Hey guys! I'm the Marketing Director over at DWNLD and we're super stoked on this hot, humid NYC launch day. We've got big plans for empowering the future of mobile content and we hope you'll follow along with us! If you have any interest in creating an app for your site, your persona, your content, or your brand - type "ProductHunt" as your phone number on the Request Invite form and we'll get in touch. Thanks for the support!
Good luck guys, I built a similar business with Appifier (now acquired) and know there are many pitfalls along the way. If you want to get the lay of the land and avoid some of the pitfalls I ran into, get in touch.
@gozmike Maybe we can get someone from the team over here. I'll try to locate someone.
With DWNLD, anyone can transform their web content into a sleek, personalized native app and submit it to the app stores within minutes. DWNLD’s technology can ingest existing digital content and convert it into DWNLD’s proprietary app programming software to create a beautiful native app. Users can also publish new and exclusive content directly into the app using a powerful yet familiar CMS. The entire process is code-free and completely intuitive.
@gozmike - We'd love to pick your brain! Can you shoot me a note at garett@dwnld.me?
The available themes seem to be catered to very specific markets. I'd suggest a music/band themed one as I can see that being a quick sell for an upcoming artist to quickly get an app out.
@itsthisjustin Thanks for the feedback Justin! The themes look very focused on specific markets because those are the clients we've worked most tightly with, but we've already got Soundcloud and iTunes integrations and those templates can very quickly become music-focused with inline streaming. However, you're right and we'll quickly be adapting to the needs of every vertical, within reason.
@garettpress Just recommended DWNLD to a client so hopefully you see a new sign up soon!
@itsthisjustin Thanks Justin! We saw almost 1K applicants since launching - pretty wild!
