$4.99. Come on it is 2016. It is not gonna happen...

@sashakozachuk The App Store is a race to the bottom right now in terms of price. This means that quality apps are being sold for less than they're worth. Putting it in perspective, Doo took almost 1000 hours to create. I think it's worth the price, considering its less than a single beer :)

@sashakozachuk really don't think that $5 is a lot as long as it's worth the price of course... People will always have an angle to complain about being charged anywhere... targeted ads - don't want them, in-app purchases - don't want them, pro accounts - don't want to pay for extra features, etc etc. Unfortunately tech is becoming a place where tools are… See more

@sashakozachuk Seems like a steal to me. Nice app @mciarlo

@mciarlo Got your point. Wish you best

@mciarlo @sashakozachuk I agree and had same thought as you when I priced my app but this is what I learned while its on market and reading tons of articles about app pricing.. My 2 cents. No disrespect. Just sharing what I learned. 1) No one cares how many hours of work went into it. As a developer/entrepreneur this was hard for me to absorb but its a tru… See more

@maddynator @sashakozachuk Thanks for sharing! I think you make some valid points about the number of hours and unknowns. People want to know what they're buying. I hope that between the video, the screenshots, and the website, people can see the value I've built. There's a lot of love in this app! I want to take a moment to talk about in-app purchase (IA… See more

@mciarlo @sashakozachuk I completely agree with you on pay wall... I am same way with ADS... I have a special dislike for them and thats why they never find place in my apps.. I can see the effort, the due diligence and attention to detail that you have put in building "Doo". Great job. Best of luck with everything :)

@maddynator Thanks Mayank. I wish you all the best with GYMINUTES too :)

@mciarlo I totally agree with you on worth is worth but i think that Todo apps are too personal for a paygate. They should work for you! Out there are a lot different concepts and i paid for probably 8 "todo concepts" since i'm using apps. None of them worked for me so i still use pen and paper. It would be too bad if there is good and maybe costly marketing… See more

@mciarlo @sashakozachuk I hear what you're saying and as an developer myself, I would have to politely disagree. The amount of labor of the developer or the love of the product from the developer has absolutely no bearing on the price of the thing. Instead, the value completely derives out of the value the user gets from using it. I think the best apps find … See more

@huntergray Hi Hunter! Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree. When I say I love my app and that a lot of effort went into making it, I don't expect that to justify the price or to be an indicator of value. I want people to succeed using Doo – that's its value. I use the word love because I think you can tell when a developer cares about people. I can't … See more

@sashakozachuk I'm sorry for low oil prices, but you should face reality - this is only a cup of coffee
twalkerp@twalkerp · founder
@mciarlo not to argue the price but perceived value is the difference. People know beer; they don't know your app. Just saying. I love to-do apps and I've tried many but continue to fall back on wunderlist and pen and pad. I'll take a look into this.
