It's a non-self-aware attempt to force tech into being inclusive in a clearly discriminatory and exclusive way. It's hypocritical in nature but blissfully and seemingly unaware of that fact.

Pros:

Tries to be progressively useful.

Cons:

It manages to discriminate against individualists who aren't aligned in groupthink or have widely diverse viewpoints.

With all do respect-Totally disagree, it provides another perspective of tech in which allows a person that has a diverse viewpoint to see it from an ethnology observation cultural understanding, just like in UX using empathy as the starting point to understand your persona groups needs.

"It manages to discriminate against individualists who aren't aligned in groupthink or have widely diverse viewpoints." - um, how do you figure?

I mean this in the most sincerest of ways but...what are you talking about? What is hypocritical/groupthink/non-self-aware?

The crazy thing is people cannot even see how hypocritical these sort of things are. You could explain it until you are blue in the face and they just look at you with a blank expression...

Diversity in tech resources are scattered across the web and there is truly a need for a hub that interested parties can turn to, finally we have one!

Pros:

Finally a one stop shop for a number of helpful resources around events, hiring and everything in between.

Cons:

Not exhaustive but will be in time I hope.

This really tackles all areas (scholarships, job boards, conferences, speakers, deals, etc, etc) and is beyond actionable. Again, how did I not know about this before?
