CoinList lets you invest in pre-launch blockchain based projects at the Initial Coin Offering. If only we also had this for IPOs of popular startups. 🙇

Do you need to be an accredited investor to make investments through Coinlist?
@benln Yes, you do. Which I don't get, the whole point of it is that it democratizes private investments so mandatory accreditation dissapointed me.

This is a fantastic plan for the future of investing in pre-launch coins. Given the fact that all these investments are decentralized currencies and you can currently invest on exchanges without being "@angellist accredited" - When will you be making this available to non-accredited investors?

ICO's have a huge potential - but it's really hard to understand so if the SAFT makes that easier then that's a huge leap forward. I think their wise to restrict to accredited as opening up to non-accredited draws the attention of this thing called the SEC. So better to avoid that conversation for now and move with what you know is safe or saft in their case… See more

Great, but why only accredited investors? Seems a bit silly as the crypto public has been to date funding ICOs and doing a fine job of it. IMO it seems like a good product, but with an archaic investment approach.

Yet another thing that holds huge opportunity I can't even participate in. The fact you have to be make over 200k a year or have 1m in assets is the reason theres such a wealth gap. It takes money to make money. Truly a damn shame
