Hi everyone! We’re very excited to launch Claimdog today on Product Hunt. Claimdog lets you search to see if a business owes you money. There is over $60 billion of “unclaimed property” or “missing money” in the United States, and our mission is to increase the awareness and transparency around this issue. @dfinzer Congrats on launching, Devin! Great that you're able to help people claim money! Curious, how are *you* making money? ps, Nice post about celebrities who are owed money. Kayne could use the $37 owed from the Foot Locker: https://claimdog.wordpress.com/2...

@dfinzer you should have a feature where you can subscribe to your name and be alerted of future potential claims. For example I don't have anything to claim today but I would want to know about anything in the future I could claim.

@mccannatron Great idea! We really want to dig into the data more and figure out the frequency of these claims.

We have considered gmail contact import as an alternative, but it… See more

@dfinzer Great product: I found a couple hundred bucks :) Issue with unclaimed property though is still having to navigate hoops and state-based archaic websites. Definitely a nice database + search engine, but would be even better to streamline this like the common application for colleges - and pay $X for lifetime alerts and access to unclaimed propert… See more

@rossblankenship @dfinzer Hey Ross, glad you found some money! We’re really excited about the idea of a “common app” for unclaimed money; we’re experimenting with that idea just in California for now but hope to expand to other states. We’ll reach out via email.

@dfinzer Your right, I checked the Facebook api and it has changed. I'm sure their is something creative you can do. Good work so far!
