@AnujAdhiya @sandracarden or socialized so I can compete with friends/colleagues for the lowest score. Check out Forest for a version that gamified based on 30 minute intervals of NOT checking your phone:
@AnujAdhiya done (I think - haven't tried it yet but just discovered it/installing it). Check out Oh right, @alwaysunday already mentioned it.
Uh-oh. I don't want to know. h/t @sarahintampa
Sounds similar to Moment:
@chrismessina yeah, very similar. I started with Moment but didn't like the location tracking requirement.
I feel like we should give it a week and post our results. I'm currently trying to be less attached to my phone, so it'll be interesting to quantify my usage!
@riaface let's do that :)
@syswarren I've been leaving my phone in "do not disturb" mode all day and I find that it cut down on those knee-jerk reactions to pull out my phone when it vibrates. Maybe this tool will help me quantify my behavior.
@riaface I'm in. When do we start?
@sandracarden Let's start today and report back in a week! Though I will be on holiday, so mine might be delayed...
I'm really curious how this technically works on iOS. What kind of process is running in the background?
@emieljanson And how much battery life is it eating?
@emieljanson it seems that the app uses location tracking. It's very good product, but as I've (as many others iphone users) battery issues I can't use it on a daily purpose.
@noahkagan They use lo-res location tracking, so the battery drain should be minimal.
@digit Thanks for the heads up!
