It helps me quickly and easily solidify plans with friends. I find typical calendar scheduling apps too impersonal for casual gatherings, so this fits in the middle ground and helps me connect with the people that matter.

I know Tim personally and have been his friend for a long time. I love his passion for creating products that help people. When I first heard about the product that would later become Call Your Friends, I was eager to try it because I'm actively working to leave social media and build habits around connecting 'offline.' The pandemic has made that more difficult, but phone calls have been a much-needed form of connection for me. Having a 'single-player' tool for this is exactly what I want. I did not want another app on my phone. I also want something that will help build my purpose and provide motivation. The results I've gotten from using this tool - much like the results I get from maintaining a manual budget for my finances - come from a commitment to repetition and a foundational purpose. There are few frills here because they aren't necessary. Anyone who wants to build these habits has to do the work themselves; this is merely a tool to empower that effort. In the first month of using Call Your Friends, I reconnected with two friends and had one of the most wonderful conversations I had all year. It works if you want it to work! I hope others find it just as useful.

I love that this app doesn't give up on you. Even if you can't reach out to someone the same moment or day when you get the Call Your Friends text, you're not out of luck. You get gentle text nudges you at well-timed intervals, which is key. I've tried making myself calendar appointments that serve this purpose, but those rarely end up working because I dismiss the reminders and then forget to reach out. For me, that's where Call Your Friends has a huge advantage. It's gotten me to reconnect with people that I otherwise wouldn't have, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend.

Hands down the product that has helped me ditch privacy-invasive social media, even during the pandemic, and yet still feel more connected than ever. I cannot recommend it more highly. I'm self-admittedly bad at staying in touch over distances or when I can't seek folks face to face, which has been particularly bad these days for obvious reasons. So having a reminder to reach out, digitally or otherwise, has made the difference between me drifting away from friends and family and me staying in touch with them. I've reconnected with many old friends, and don't just feel more supported myself but am also able to offer support to those I care about better as well. Like any good habit, the key is to make connection into repetition and grow it like a muscle. Call Your Friends makes that easy. Its simplicity is the key for me. Such an unobtrusive but important thing and with such an incredible reward.
