I feel that there are so many dating apps out there at the moment. They all focus on a different feature which makes them different but I'm concerned that a feature is often not going to be enough. Dating apps need the audience and I wonder if certain features will actually bring that crowd. Also, a dating app is only as good as its matches. It's a hard market to crack but excited to see how it goes!

@bentossell I do think that we have clear differentiators. And the matches are good ;) That's what we've focused on. People that actually are mutually interested to get the conversation going. Plus, it's a lot more interactive and exciting by matching via the self-destructing selfies :) But I appreciate your honest thoughts. :) And thanks!

@danieldelouya yeah I by no-means know what features will succeed. This may be it. If I download this now, I would bet that hardly anyone else would be on it in my city. I'd then delete it. In a bigger city obviously it will be different. I'd love to hear from someone who has been using the app

@bentossell That's why the world needs to hear about Blume so that won't happen 😄 Getting off ground in the beginning is always the hardest thing to do.😊🚀

@danieldelouya Which is why, in this highly competitive space, it is hard to get going based on a feature. As I said, I'm interested to see how it goes.

@bentossell It is a highly competitive space indeed, but also i highly insatiable one as well. I still don't believe Blume is just one feature. The whole concept evolves around matching in an completely different way that hasn't been seen before. But yeah. It's going to be interesting - as with anything :)

@danieldelouya @bentossell Many successful products started out just as features in a crowded space, there's nothing wrong with it if you see the future potential 😉 I'm looking forward to your next steps, good luck!

@philipkuklis @danieldelouya @bentossell Nailed it. Features are key, extremely. To a company's consumer/user, well... features are everything. It's what defines the product they use, how they use it and if they will use. Now with that said, features are not everything to the success of a company. The people are what make a company successful. Did you see what just happened there? We went full circle. EVERYTHING matters and should be treated that way. From features, the people, the timing, the branding, the passion, to the execution matter. The term "features" have been thrown around @producthunt far too much the past few days- let's not get hung up on it. There are many other issues we can help Makers with- Every snow flake matters when building a snowball.
