@chadwhitaker this is actually based on a fascinating (and fun) Google AI experiment called Quick Draw: https://aiexperiments.withgoogle...

Loved it. Absolutely Googlish attitude: neat, simple, good looking, AI behind. These are the features that make all Google products stand out. Just Brilliant.

This is awesome! Is there a license on the provided drawings?

@akashcmc +1. Curious if I could use this in a side project/business sense? Royalty free or what's the license?

Hats off to everyone who worked on this! I'm going to put this tool to heavy use. I think it'll be a staple of design tools moving forward, especially during the wireframing stage.

Does it use what Google has learnt from QuickDraw to make this work?

Google wants to turn everything I draw into a loaf of bread haha

Hmm, am I the only one struggling to see the point of this? Yes, it's cool and clever, as Google is probably learning lots from it. But as for being useful to users, surely if you want an icon of a cat, you'd be better just typing in the word "cat" and clicking a result then attempting to draw one! Same result, but faster and easier.

@itisjames People think, learn, and communicate in different ways. This could also bridge language barriers, perhaps. I see people mentioning it for wireframing, too. And it might also depend upon the licensing of the drawings given. If they are CC or PD, you might be able to find the *exact* picture/pose you're looking for more easily by drawing it (eventually, with a large enough database). I have to wonder if there aren't scores of uses that we haven't dreamed of yet... accessibility options, CAPTCHA, etc. And what's wrong with something that's just for fun, anyways? That use is just as valid, right? 😉

very useful product and a great example of a 'practical' use of AI. Well done everyone. Is there an API planned ?

Not gonna lie, this is the stupidest thing ever. Why don't you just type dolphin and it shows you the icons or drawings that are already perfect. Why do I have to draw a crappy version of it?
Aaron Jackson

I'm not going to lie, I've been using this for about a full three minutes and I'm loving it.
Michael Neth
@infernocloud · Product Designer/Dev, Callcap
This is neat tech... but it seems like classic tech overkill. The tech is identifying the object you want to draw and then looking up pre-made art for you to insert. Why wouldn't they just provide a search feature for the object you want instead? Typing "pizza" is way easier and faster than trying to draw a pizza.

@infernocloud Wow! Exactly my point. I have asked the same thing above and now waiting for makers response. I would love this feature. :)

woooahh! this is amazing! this is gonna help me so much during my wireframing. Is there a way to export vector files too?
