I've often wondered why Amazon doesn't open up Associates for people to use more easily. I've used the Associates program for years, and I've called Amazon a bazillion times to complain about how awkward their Associates program is. They always say it is this way because they don't want 'just anybody' posting products because it will degrade their brand, etc etc. That's probably valid.
This seems to be a step in the right direction though, could be huge if they can mobilize influencers to drive more sales.
It could also be a disaster for authenticity. I imagine an alternate reality or dystopian future where the existence of saying anything genuine, from your heart, will be gone on social media.
