Love this app. It makes decision making easier, which isn't really an issue when there are 10-20 tasks, but is a real pain in my ass when there are hundreds of ideas and things to do. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the all the paths I can go with my project, and airfocus gives me an elegant way to rank and structure all that mess into a nice and clean roadmap.
It's like a layer between my Trello board with hundreds and hundreds of ideas and actual development process, a decision booth.
Also appreciate the attention to the business side of development process, cause as a solo entrepreneur/developer, who really enjoys programming, I often get caught up in coding for the sake of coding, while forgetting, that the main purpose of creating business is making money. So airfocus for me is also a reality check.
For me the best way to understand stuff is visually, so that's another thing airfocus comes useful, cause Timeline view is so much more comprehensive, than plain Trello cards stack.
Would be interesting to know what's the origin of the prioritization method, used in the app.
Look forward to seeing the project grow, good luck guys ❤️Pros:
Generates order out of the chaos of my Trello ideas stackCons:
Is not yet optimized for mobile
To be really frank, I never realized how important prioritization (as a concept) really is until I discovered airfocus. That said, in the digital era we live in today, I can't find a better app that assesses my initiatives and projects according to my own set of criteria better than airfocus. Thank you guys for the coupon. Will be subscribing asap! :)Pros:
Takes emotions and gut instincts that are usually wrong out of the equation when deciding on priorities.Cons:
As a software developer, I hope to see airfocus build an interactive API so I can integrate the app into our companies internal tools.
Just signed up. Super easy to start working with and it's cool that it integrates with Jira. I work as a BI consultant so I love that project management is now visual too. Probably a very specific request, but any plans to integrate with BI tools?Pros:
Compatibility with Trello and Jira. Very easy integrationCons:
integration with BI tools
Setting priorities is often tricky and sometime I feel unsure about my decision. I really like this app since it has helped me and my team save a lot of time and we're able to prioritize efficiently. I also find the template super helpful!Pros:
Save a lot of time when it comes to prioritizing. Easy to get started with useful templates.Cons:
I'm a mobile person, and I'd love it if they have the mobile app version.
I had the pleasure of alpha/beta testing the solution and working with Malte during the process. They were very thoughtfully receptive to feedback. The product was quite solidly built. The ability to add in items with key metrics/factors that affect prioritization and also control the formula that calculates the value is indespensible. I've yet to review a task/project management system that has really good prioritization capabilities. AirFocus helps to bridge that gap since it integrates with solutions like Trello, Jira, Asana, etc. I would recommend getting familar with the solution to know where it might be a good fit for your situation (PM or not). If it helps you do even 1 feature or project before a less valuable one, the solution pays for itself.Pros:
Provides customizable prioritization capabilities and visuals that are missing in major project/task toolsets. Very simple to use.Cons:
Wish it integrated with more solutions so it could be considered for more clients.
We moved from a weighted spreadsheet+trello+powerpoint mess into this tool as a way of to create transparency for exec stakeholders into how we prioritise themes and workstreams in a "Now, Next, Future" format. It's sparking dialog between execs, ruffling feathers on our scoring approach and giving us a way to share this centrally. My only downside is the lack of clarity on user roles in the app. With the pricing increasing so quickly for users, we've chosen one seat but it's not clear how "contributors" work as opposed to those who you can share with.Pros:
Good tool for managing weighted priorities. Solid visualisation of the process.Cons:
Pricing plans go very steep, very quickly
