Hi Hunters, We are thrilled to introduce Wireshape, the open blockchain for global product data. 🗃️ Wireshape is a public blockchain fully dedicated to bringing transparency to the supply chain. Our ultimate goal is to empower consumers by delivering clear product information so they can make better purchasing decisions. Thus ensuring greater satisfaction with the product purchased and less environmental impact by reducing returns and consequent generation of waste. 🛍️ Having a complete and precise product catalog is crucial for ecommerce and online marketplaces to appeal to and retain customers. However, obtaining and managing all the necessary information about each product can be an overwhelming and time-consuming task, especially when considering the amount of data that needs to be collected and maintained for each item. The idea for Wireshape came to us when we saw these challenges and knew that a better way to have accurate data was possible. So we decided to build a blockchain-based solution that would enable decentralized, tamper-proof storage and sharing of product data. ⚖️ The Wireshape dApp eliminates the need for a central authority to manage and verify the data, and instead provides a decentralized, secure, and transparent way for storing and sharing product data by using the Token Curated Product Registry (TCPR), a decentralized system of curation of product information, which creates a reliable database recorded on the blockchain and maintained by the community, which receives intrinsic incentives in WWIRE tokens as rewards. Here's how it works: Suppliers and consumers create proposals to register product data on the blockchain through the Wireshape dApp. The community curates the data, ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date. If approved, the data is recorded on the blockchain and becomes publicly available for consultation through a catalog of products API. Businesses can use this data to provide customers with more detailed information about their products, while also ensuring that the products are sourced ethically and sustainably. By leveraging the data recorded on the blockchain, businesses can identify areas for improvement in their supply chain and make more informed decisions about sourcing and production. We're proud to be part of the open source community, and we believe that by embracing these values, we can build a stronger and more reliable blockchain system that benefits everyone, promoting a level of openness and accessibility that is often absent from traditional supply chain systems and ensuring that all data is freely accessible to anyone. By providing increased security, transparency and efficiency, we hope to encourage decentralization and innovation in the consumer goods space which leads to a better and more equitable experience for all stakeholders. 📙 How does this Wireshape Beta Program work? The participants in the Wireshape Private Beta Program have the unique opportunity to contribute to the creation of top-quality product data, and in turn be rewarded with WIRE tokens that can be used on the Wireshape mainnet. For every successful application, the participant will receive 30 mainnet WIRE tokens when it launches. Additionally, the participant will receive 3 mainnet WIRE tokens for every winning vote/curatorship in the application. The number of tokens rewarded will be based on the contribution score, which will be calculated based on the quality and precision of the contributions. Each participant accepted into the program will receive 31 WIRE tokens on the Wireshape Testnet. These tokens will enable the participant to start contributing to the platform right away. 👨‍💻 Requirements for you to get involved in this beta test: Modern web browser such as Brave, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Connect your EVM compatible wallet, such as Metamask, Brave or Trust Wallet to the Floripa Testnet Network. You can download Metamask here: https://metamask.io/download/ Fill out the form to become a beta tester and receive testnet WIRE tokens to get started. You will receive a welcome email. Hey Product Hunters, I'm very excited about this launch! I'd also like to share with you guys a little about the Token Curated Product Registry (TCPR). In the TCPR, token holders are given the responsibility of curating the information in the database. They are incentivized to do so by earning rewards in the form of tokens for accurately and truthfully curating the information. This incentivization mechanism ensures that token holders have a vested interest in maintaining the accuracy and quality of the information in the database. In addition, the decentralized nature of the TCPR means that there is no central authority or intermediaries that can manipulate the information, providing a level of trust and transparency to users. The TCPR system is being built by Wireshape around the TCR concept and the pioneering work done by Mike Goldin from ConsenSys in his Token-Curated Registries 1.0 paper and I'd love to discuss any questions you have about this here.
