Hello Product Hunt! I’m Mac. Before I founded WebWave I was a software developer, and I created websites for clients as a side hustle. I was ace with code, but lacked the imagination and creativity necessary to design great websites. It helped me to realize, engineers only slow the process. Marketers and graphic designers should be in charge of web design. Creative people have all the skills and knowledge, but miss proper web design software. So I started creating a tool for designers so that they can create websites in an environment that is friendly and familiar to them. Since then, WebWave has grown to over 500,000 users in the EU, and now we want to show WebWave to the rest of the World. What makes WebWave unique? Our superpower is that WebWave looks and feels much like a graphic design tool, Figma, Canva, or Photoshop, rather than other website builders. There’s no invisible table in the background where you have to fit your elements. Instead, you’ve got the freedom and flexibility to position, resize, and style elements however you want. You can work with layers, and elements can overlay or overlap. We call this “true drag-and-drop” and it is tailor-made for creative people. @mac_czaj have one question how your platform differ from other website builder! that i keen know! why should I use or recommend your website builder!
Maciej Czajkowski
Hi, @imnikhill10. Thank you for your question. It's a great one :) Creating websites with WebWave feels more like working with a graphic design tool, like Figma, Canva or even photoshop, rather than other website builders. With WebWave you can move your elements everywhere you like on the canvas. You can work with layers, and overlay one element over another. Unlike other website builders, in WebWave there is no invisible table, that you have to fit your elements into. That makes WebWave a perfect tool for designers and marketers, who can create design in an environment that they know and like. With WebWave creative people can finally focus on creating great websites instead of learning how flexbox, or other html or css details work.

@mac_czaj thanks for sharing, what about instances that matters user experience for search engine, how do you optimising the core web vitals as this is also including ranking factor on Google search also how you managing the javascript loading and execution time for better optimization
Janusz Mirowski
@imnikhill10 Website builders generate machine code, not handwritten code, which has consequences, but robots and google process WebWave code correctly. Our code works well, displays well, and google ranks it well, so we are happy with it. Optimization of code is one of our priorities. We believe in this. That's why our site is built in WebWave. You can check it. Also, you can check other sites made with WebWave: https://webwave.me/made-in-webwave
Maciej Czajkowski
@imnikhill10 Everything Janusz said before is correct. I can only add, that if you do not make any manual mistakes while creating your website (like adding a image that is 5MB large), your website will easily get a score of around 90-95% for desktop and around 70% on mobile on Google Page speed insights. And we are still working to improve that 70 to above 90. You can see our roadmap, what we're working on right now, and what will be working on next here: https://webwave.me/new-features

I have been waiting for this launch for two months! Please share your thoughts about our graphical design approach to building websites!
@janusz_mirowski your approach is terrific! I really like it. Can't wait to test it for my new website
Janusz Mirowski
@mac_czaj and I just wanted to thank you, guys. It is a truly unique community. We are 3rd Product of the Day and still have chances to win Product of a Week! It was an incredible journey! Your feedback is crucial for our future!

Hey Founders and Makers, Congratulation on the recent launch of WebWave on the Product Hunt! 🎉 I think this is an easy and fast solution for startuppers who need to create websites for their projects. By the way, why is WebWave better than existing solutions like Wix, Tulda, and others? What is your killer feature?
Janusz Mirowski
@denis_galka Hi thanks for kind words! Firstly Wix approach is that they will set up the website for you and we want to give freedom to create. Denis Galka
@janusz_mirowski Cool! I like creative designs. What kind of websites I can create with WebWave? Is it just landing pages or it can for example e-commerce? Can I connect to the WebWave database?
Janusz Mirowski
@denis_galka You can do whatever you want. You can do webpage with blog or ecommerce. What do you mean by connect to the database? You can input HTML, CSS, JS to the body and head.
Keith Price
@denis_galka @janusz_mirowski I've played with a couple other builders that give you full pixel-level control but I found them unusable because they required me to visually align elements. WebWave solves this by giving us object align tools. Left, Center, Right. And Top, Center, Bottom. Fantastic!

💎 Pixel perfection
I love designing websites with WebWave is just like creating graphics with Photoshop, Figma or Canva. It means that you can position elements anywhere on the canvas, and work with layers with its pixel-perfect drag-and-drop website builder. You must try it, it's fun designing websites with WebWave. Congratulations on the PH launch WebWave Team @mac_czaj @janusz_mirowski
Janusz Mirowski
@mac_czaj @growwithswapnil Thanks, this exactly what we think! I hope more people also will take advantage of our software! :)
Maciej Czajkowski
@growwithswapnil Thank you very much :)
Alexandra Kretova
Hello @mac_czaj! Congratulations with the launch. I got the idea and see that the tool has plenty of options. Wondering, what makes you different from WebFlow or Ready Mag?
Monika Buchelt
Hi @alexandra_kretova1, thank you for your comment. The main difference between WebWave and Webflow or Readymag is that with our tool you really don't need to code to create a good-looking website with impressive design features. We wanted to create a website builder that is cut for designers, not developers. That's why our interface is inspired by the one you might know from Photoshop, you can work with layers and place elements wherever you want on the canvas.
Alexandra Kretova
@monika_buchelt with the Ready Mag or Tilda you don’t need to code as well. Can I set up e-commerce and integrate payment system?
Monika Buchelt
@alexandra_kretova1 Yes, we have e-commerce with Stripe or PayPal as payment options. It takes just a few minutes to set it all up, you can watch a full tutorial here -> https://youtu.be/3kIopX9e-vg
Maciej Czajkowski
@alexandra_kretova1 Webflow is a basically a tool made for code developers. To be able to use all its features, you need to know, how code works. Ready Mag and Tilda on the other hand are both designed in a way, to let you create your website as fast as possible, without much regard for letting you build just the design you've imagined. WebWave is different. It's created to resemble graphic design tools, like Figma, Canva or even Photoshop. You can move elements around and position them wherever you like. You can work with layers, and overlap elements on over another.
Juan Manuel Macarlupú Peña
@alexandra_kretova1 @monika_buchelt Are you planning to add more payment integrations for the e-commerce part?
Sameer Jain
Great product @mac_czaj ! Congrats on the launch. I do have a question though - I feel the grids that you're talking about (not sure it's the same I'm understanding) are a feature and not a bug for those tools. If all design is freeform, a lot of elements that should align on the webpage wouldn't and I have a severe OCD for that. But barring that is there any difference between this and tools like webflow?
Janusz Mirowski
@henryrearden we are thinking about tables. You're asking what is the difference between WebWave and Webflow. It's mainly the way in which you're creating websites. WebWave works like a graphic design program. You can move elements around wherever you want, and design your website just like you were using Photoshop, Figma or Canva. Webflow on the other hand is based on a table. So you can only put elements in exact table cells. Webflow is nearly a graphical interface for code developers, while WebWave is better for graphic designers who need and want more freedom. WebWave is often used instead of prototyping tool. Graphic designers or marketers prototype and create a website themselves all in one step. But if they want to create a website with Webflow, use a prototyping tool first (like Figma) to create a design, and only after the design is ready they open Webflow to "implement" that design and create a working website out of it. I hope I made it clear what's the difference in these two tools, but if you've got more questions, go ahead, and ask. I'll be glad to answer everything :)
Rafał Suchożebrski
@henryrearden Within design canvas you do have guidelines and objects are trying to automatically align with eachother (kind of like in PowerPoint). It's very easy to make everything align perfectly, but you also have ability to move any object anywhere - even by one pixel.
Sameer Jain
@rafal_suchozebrski1 that sounds awesome! That makes this tool really cool :)
Sameer Jain
@janusz_mirowski Thanks a lot. This is insightful, will definitely try it out :)
Maciej Czajkowski
@henryrearden Have you tried WebWave yet? What do you think?
Vikram Venkatasubramanian
Can you list some of the ways this is better than WebFlow? WebFlow is very expensive and we are considering switching but it is easy and quick to use.
Janusz Mirowski

Prakash Manghwani
@vikram_venkatasubramanian @janusz_mirowski Can it generate react-js compatible html and css?
Vikram Venkatasubramanian
@janusz_mirowski Thanks for clarifying.
Maciej Czajkowski
@manghwani If you do not want to use our hosting, you can export your website into HTML, CSS and JS code and upload it to any 3rd party hosting you like.
Juan Manuel Macarlupú Peña
@manghwani @mac_czaj this is awesome! That’s the answer I was looking for. :)

💎 Pixel perfection
My website agency converted from Weebly to WebWave back in 2019 and it's now the only platform we use for designing and hosting websites. It really does allow you to design like you imagine thanks to the unique way the editor works. DESIGNERS BE WARNED, once you try it, you will never go back to your old website builder, and then you will have to migrate all your sites across to WebWave because you won't want to use anything else!
Janusz Mirowski
@tonyv haha exactly <3
Maciej Czajkowski
@tonyv great to see you here on product hunt and thank you for your review :)
Paolo De Giglio 🚀
Hey, congrats on launching on Product Hunt! 🎉 I'm really curious to hear about some of the use cases you've seen with WebWave. Can you tell us a bit more about how customers have been using the tool and any of the awesome features you've built? Looking forward to hearing more about what you and your team have been building! Keep up the great work - can't wait to see what's next! 🤩
Janusz Mirowski
@paolo_degiglio We have two types of customers. First they are small business they need unique website, blog, ecommerce, and good seo. We have a lot of small businesses, they use our website builder. Second, they are freelancers, graphic designers that use webwave to make websites for clients or portfolio pages. They like it because you have this freedom to create. Here you can check out some pages of clients: https://webwave.me/made-in-webwave
Udit Tehri
That's really nice. I like innovative designs. What kinds of websites can I build with WebWave? Is it just landing pages, or can it also do e-commerce? Is it possible to access the WebWave database?
Janusz Mirowski
@udittehri You can do all of those! What do you mean by access to data base? You can input HTML, CSS and JS to the head and body. What do you need more?

Hi, cool product! Is there an option for customizing the site with code and generating exports?
Janusz Mirowski
@kir_krotko WebWave is all about customization and freedom to create without tables and grids. Yes, you can export webpage.
Leo J Barnett
Looks beautiful. Best of luck. Who you see as the perfect user for Webwave? Gen Z uGC folk making quick pretty store fronts?
Janusz Mirowski
@leojbarnett Freelance web designer or graphic designer that know how to use graphical software and want to build websites!
Semi Joh
What saas company gives you almost instant solutions to every support ticket? In fact, most of the times the reply I get include screen recording to help address my issue. The Webwave is always shipping out updates to make my life even easier. Like most website builders, webwave didn't exactly solve the mobile responsiveness issue. However, with the recent updates, it is becoming easier by the day. If you are tired of having to pay a huge amount of money to agencies or you build sites for clients, Webwave should be your first choice. I am not a coder or a graphic designer, but I can now build sites almost as effortlessly as any seasoned web dev agency. I would highly recommend Webwave.
Janusz Mirowski
@semi_joh Thank you for that input! We are working hard on RWD and it will be better and better!

@semi_joh yeah, I love their support. It is one of the best I had a pleasure to encounter, fast, friendly and competent. And patient :) as I need it sometimes.

Congrats on the launch💫

Congrats on this launch guys! I have been with WebWave since 2021, and I love it. I have a lot of years experience with Adobe Photoshop and for me this website builder is my all-in-one tool for the web. I have mentioned this, Webwave is the Photoshop for the web design. It has everything that I need. Pixel perfect design, there are no limits to where you can place your object in the canvas, no limits! I highly suggest taking a look and trying it. There are many many many features and constantly adding new stuff, frequently. The dev team listens to the customers and implementing new ideas as fast as they can. Well done!
Janusz Mirowski
@kcnor Thank you, we will try our best!

@laurieherault Please test it and share your thoughts !

If it looks all right visually, doesn't mean the code is fine. I believe your website was made with WebWave, correct me if I'm wrong, and what I've seen there is just a mess of incorrect markup and lots of fixed and absolute positioned elements. Web Design does not equal Web Development, the design needs to be correctly implemented by developers. I hope this helps, I mean no disrespect. Good luck!
Janusz Mirowski
@chris_sarca Thank you for your input. Yes our website is made with WebWave because we believe in this product! Janusz Mirowski
@chris_sarca @juan_macar Yes we did and we are proud of it! It's looks awesome and its very good with SEO!
Michal Sadowski
Looking great! Can you share how you differentiate your product from the likes of Figma?
Janusz Mirowski
@socialmemos Hi Michael, The trick is that we are similar to figma, but for building webpages. Figma is for graphic designers that WebWave wants to be for Web Designers. With WebWave you can skip figma and do your design in WebWave. WebWave is just like creating graphics with Figma, but in the end of the process, you will have your own unique webpage, not flat design that you need to import somewhere or code.
Huy Doan
The UI looks good! Congrats guys on the launch!

@huy_doan_quang We are putting great effort on our UI and UX!
