VoiceGist is our solution to sharing and explaining code snippets asynchronously. Nobody wants to explain their code with a huge essay, referencing various code lines and having the reader jump between the text description and the code snippet. Cue VoiceGists!

Hey all 👋 Sélim and I have been looking for a product that helps us 1) 📝efficiently and asynchronously share code between our team and 2) 🕹️make code easy to understand We want to be able to collaboratively fix bugs and to "write" documentation more easily. Our solution to that problem are voice gists! VoiceGist makes it super easy to share code, record your voiceover and have your mouse, code selections and edits be recorded. And more importantly, it helps your team work asynchronously, sharing voiced code snippets whenever it's convenient. Bugs can be explained and fixed as if both team members were looking at the same screen without ever having to sit together! And all of that right inside the browser, without any browser extensions, signups or other points of friction! We believe VoiceGist will help remote teams resolve coding issues more efficiently and allow every team member to work on their own schedule 🌍. We want to focus on what truly matters - building product, not explaining code with long winded messages on Slack!🙌 Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we do! ❤️

@leonhardsoenke Happy you see it that way - we've been struggling lately with going full remote as we saw that time spend collaboratively working through hard problems sank dramatically. Understandably nobody wanted to spend time explaining their code on the #DevChannel but they were happy to jump on calls and share their screen - so we wrapped it into one simple landing page.

@andrew_keats Thanks Andrew! Exactly, the possible features we could add to the core experience seem endless. For example, we got so much feedback to adapt it also for more educational use cases, or generally live code sharing .. we're going to digest it all and start building :)
