I never unfollow people if they're following me. But if they're not following me, I don't mind as they're unlikely to notice. Has anyone created a web version of this? I don't have an Android phone.

@rrhoover Cheers, we have a solution , iOS version of this app is cooking :)

@rrhoover There are few like https://iunfollow.com/ and http://who.unfollowed.me/ (Google twitter unfollow). Apparently many social media platforms also supports this, though it's not mentioned directly in their marketing pages.. (https://www.crowdfireapp.com/, https://statusbrew.com/ etc)..

Idea came from my own need. Let's admit - Twitter newsfeed becomes crowded when you are following too many users and it might be a good idea to unfollow those who do not follow you. At Twitter, users follow you and then unfollow you when you follow back. I thought it could be very useful for businesses so told my geek brother to build a tool and launch on Play Store. Tell us what you think about this. he is also planning to build an iOS app for this.

Whilst useful, be careful using tools like this on a regular basis and in large numbers, as it can lead to a suspension of your account.

@theashtube Very useful tip. Thanks :) Keeping this thing in mind, the app sets a limit on the number of users you can unfollow/follow in an hour. So, no policy violations :)

@jitesh_dugar Awesome, remember that these limits change quite regularly, so keep an eye on them so you don't get caught out. :)

Great Tool To manage twitter Account

Great UI

Fast and Impressive

Useful Feature that actually solves a problem.

Pros:

I think this is great tool for websites like twitter. Often it becomes difficult to manage your followers ratio. Beautiful UI wordlimit:P

Cons:

Nothing as of now. I would love to see more features.

Thanks Nikhil , we will definitely work on more features :)

Hi @jitesh_dugar, It looks good and probably could be helpful to manage Twitter unfollow function little better, but why your app wants to: • Update my profile. • Post Tweets for me. • Access my direct messages. ?
Jitesh Dugar
@darekdoesstuff Appreciate your feedback. So, these permissions were added by default when requesting login. However, I guarantee that we do not update your profile, post any tweets for you or read your messages. If it takes to show you the code to prove this, I am open to that.

@jitesh_dugar Thank you for your swift answer Jitesh. I think opening the code (placing it on Github.com? with whatever licence you prefer) to all who want to check it out would make people very comfortable and without any doubts. You could also find some contributors to your project. Who knows what could happen there? I think in case of the Internet based - especially social media related - apps, users's trust is a very important factor. Good luck and an upvote from me.

@jitesh_dugar Actually two more things :) : The app shows number of unfollowers as 91 (fans as well). But in fact there is 1500 accounts who do not follow mine, so what's the catch? And what is the criteria you use for the unfollowers list? It seams random to me now and I don't see any option to change it into, for example from the oldest accounts (one I followed a long time ago) to the recent ones? For me logical is to only unfollow people who did not follow me for some time, not the new once I follow recently. And the last thing. It's a good practice in Android design to use system "back" arrow as a way to navigate (getting back) from whatever place you are in the app to the point of quitting the app. Your app, after clicking on unfollowers gets user into the vicious circle of full screen adds, that prevents from ever quitting your app with system's back arrow.

@darekdoesstuff Thanks for your analysis and sharing the feedback. The 'Back' button behavior was due to a bug that has been fixed now. There is no ad there anymore. Currently, we have not sorted accounts based on the time they have not followed you. We will plan on introducing this feature soon :) Regarding the app showing number of unfollowers as 91. But, 1500 accounts that do not follow you. It was a bug on the earlier app, it has been fixed now. Please give it a try.

Waiting for iOS version. Unfortunately no Android here.

I have mixed opinions. This is right at the edge of what I would consider morally appropriate. In my 5+ years of Twitter usage, I've never had more than ~275 followers. Yet I follow people every week, make conversation, and of course, rant. People follow me every week. Yet I'm still around the same amount of followers. I'm pretty sure plenty of those people are using tools like this. Automation is partly why we can't have real conversations anymore. We're all talking to bots!

@jeffrey_wyman "We're all talking to bots! " I really appreciate this line 😎. Recently when I read about Twitter Bot, I get stunned back, previously I used to think how can he/her can reply so fast or follow, re-tweet,reply but when I read about bots and how these bots are vibrant in Twitter; for a moment, I see every individual first one as a bot!😬😬😬

Should anyone could explain me why would you be interested in only following your followers... For me, I like to read tweets from interesting people and apps/news/etc. I mean, I would unfollow @ProductHunt if I use this 🤔
Sudharsan Rajagopal
@producthunt @diego_iglesias Most random twitter followers with the larger audience tend to follow you and once you follow back will unfollow you. I could find it as the only way to weed out the follower-hungry users. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind others following me as long as you can make conversation with the others.

Request for project: Open-source tool for deleting all my tweets before a certain date (I don't like authorizing random twitter apps I don't control to access my account)
Veronica Rodriquez
Really great tool and so simple to use!
