Hi Product Hunt folks! I'm Patric, the creator of UMLBoard. Please let me give you a short introduction to my tool and the ideas behind it. The Problem: I had the initial idea for this tool a couple of years ago when I recognized that most UML tools I used had mainly three issues: 1. They are somewhat complicated to use; you have to click through many deep-stacked dialog hierarchies to change a single class property. While others provide a textual interface that makes editing more accessible, they often lack possibilities for custom layouts. 2. Other diagram editors are often too generic, i.e., if you change a class' name, references to this class - in properties or method parameters - are not updated. 3. Sometimes, the created diagrams look too formal, while they should transport some initial ideas instead. The Solution: UMLBoard tries to solve these issues by providing an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface that combines visual and textual editing. It also ensures and validates the correct form of your UML diagrams and updates associations or references automatically whenever your classes change. And finally, it creates diagrams with a nice-looking hand-drawn style that will be real eye-catchers! For whom this tool is: UMLBoard is mainly for developers who want to add additional documentation to their codebase or architects who want to communicate domain concepts with other stakeholders. But also for students or researchers that want to add UML diagrams to their reports or research papers. And it only costs the price of one coffee ;-) Please give it a try and let me know what you think of it, thanks a lot! Greetings, Patric
