Two Margins - Annotate financial documents (ex. SEC filings) w/ the crowd

We just launched a completely new version of the site, addressing various issues (including the problem @_jacksmith brought up, with having popup windows covering the document). Tagline could also read: Rap Genius for financial documents. Really interesting concept though. I can see this becoming very popular.

There's a niche of people that will geek out on this stuff. I noticed @strickland_dan made annotations on the Alibaba Form F-1. I'd like to see a list of people that made comments on a particular form so I can easily read the opinions of people I trust and respect. @ErikTberg - this has some relevance to what we chatted about yesterday.

Totally agree, @rrhoover. This is something that needed to exist -- see a small, but hopefully v. engaged community building up around this. Have been in touch w/ a couple of folks over there, they've been smart in the early days -- iterating w/ each new filing they put up, laser-focused on delivering utility as soon after hitting the tool as possible, etc.

Casetext has a similar product for legal opinions.

@GeoffreyWeg agreed: that would be a better sub-title I was thinking. I prefer how rapgenius doesn't need to open a new popup window to read the comments though.

This is great. I'd prefer to read this than a techcrunch article summarizing it personally.

Thanks for the encouraging comments. We'll be adding new features and documents soon. @rrhoover, the idea of showing a list of users who have annotated a document is a good one. We're planning something along those lines. @_jacksmith, good point about the popups. We'll be thinking of ways to make this work better.

Love where this is going. Tired of waiting on RapGenius to own this space.
