It would be great if users could get 1 free trial goal in each category, that would help us see what the app is capable of.
Jessica Devine
@gurrrrung thanks for the feedback! With the free version you can actually try out any one goal you want - and you can change your goal any time. So you can try out all of the goals over time if you like.

As a person who hates planning ahead, I really enjoyed interacting with this app! The UX design is very nice and welcoming, the goal setting was super easy and engaging, the whole experience made me want to fast-forward to tomorrow, so I can interact again with the app :D I particularly liked the quotes on the main page and the day evaluation at the end completing the day! :) That really made me rethink what actions have added value to my day, so I will be more conscious to repeat them more often! Great work Jessica!

@szilvia_laszlo thank you so much! We worked so hard on the design, to make it a mix of simple / fresh / restful, and a little playful... it wasn't easy to do without relying on stock images, honestly, so compliments on the design seriously make my day. Also thrilled to hear that the planning flow and reflections are adding value. Would love to stay in touch and hear more about your experience over the coming weeks. While I'm super proud about what launched today, this is just the beginning and we have lots of room to improve.

@jessica_devine You hard work shows on the design, it is stunning for an app that has just launched! I will keep using the app, and I am curious how the experience will evolve in the long term! Actually, I already have a few remarks, I will DM you on Twitter :)

@szilvia_laszlo amazing! You can also book time with me directly IN the app, through the settings menu, if you'd like to chat. :)

So first, really beautiful design and UX. That's surprisingly uncommon for these apps. A couple comments: - I can't see without going premium, but a suggestion that I don't see very often on these apps - allowing the next due date to be based on the completion date. Especially important for cleaning and similar tasks - If I clean my floors every two weeks, and then don't clean my floors for two weeks, the next due date should be two weeks from when I finally did it. - I noticed you can add that you want to complete a task 3 times in a day, but only one reminder time pops up - is that something that comes in premium as well? - I love that you have a lifetime offering! I know it's limited, but a great option all the same because subscription fatigue is real and definitely prevents me from using apps.
Jessica Devine
@itsaerin thanks so much for the kind words and for taking the time to share some feedback! Since the whole premise of the app is to help busy people quickly and easily find ways to fit self-care into their schedule, the design/UX felt absolutely critical. Responding to your comments: - ACTIVITY TIMING: Love this idea! Right now unscheduled activities appear either randomly, or more regularly if it's something you say added value or if it's something we notice you tend to add. With premium you can make activities recurring on certain days of the week. This doesn't yet include delays, but it's definitely on our radar, because you're right - there are some activities that are more daily, but others would happen less often or might even only happen a single time. - DUPLICATE ACTIVITIES IN A SINGLE DAY: Yeah, this was definitely a UX challenge that has room for improvement. The way it works right now is that, if you say you want to do a certain activity 3 times in one day, then the app will create 3 totally separate instances of the activity for you. You can then set reminders independently for each instance. I know it's a little cumbersome - please let me know if you have ideas for how we can improve this! - LIFETIME OFFERING: Thank you! The reality for me as a bootstrapper is that I need revenue in order to build out the next waves of functionality. The lifetime offering feels like mutual value - it's a great deal for users who want to take advantage of it, and it helps me move faster at making the app better. I'll probably seriously raise the price and/or phase it out in the future, but for now I think it makes a lot of sense.
Jessica Devine
@itsaerin I'd love to connect again in a week or two after you've had a chance to use the app more and see how it's going - you can actually book time with me from the settings menu in the app if you'd be interested. :)

@jessica_devine I do have a suggestion for the recurring task reminders w/in a day, I'll tweet at ya!

Interesting idea - good luck!
Jessica Devine
@dr_dani thanks! I wanted something that was positive, flexible, and sustainable for myself - the components in the app aren't unique, but the way they come together definitely is. Let me know what you think if you decide to try it out!
Clo
The app looks great, and I love the mindfulness focus! Might give it a try 😊 Also, props to you for having it available on Android too!
Jessica Devine
@clo__s thank you! There is a lot of subtle mindfulness practice baked into the tool - the fact that I've been doing Zen Buddhist meditation for 15+ years definitely impacted a lot of my approach. Please do try it out, and let me know what you think! There's so much more to the product than can easily fit in a PH profile.

I LOVE how flexible the Todayist app is! Instead of making an arbitrary list of to-do items, the flow encourages you to think through your personal values. One of my favorite parts is the list of ideas provided through the app for how you can meet your personal values through daily actions. The interface is super user-friendly and the design is absolutely beautiful. Props to the Todayist team for creating an interface that's friendly, simple, and pleasing to the eye! I'm excited to see how it helps me stick to my own priorities!
Jessica Devine
@brigitte_lynn thanks for the kind words!
John Krehbiel
Does it integrate with Alexa or Siri?
Jessica Devine
@john_krehbiel great question! Not at this time, but we have lots of ideas for the future. This is definitely on the list. :)
Graeme
congrats, will give it a go!
Jessica Devine
@graeme_fulton thanks! If you're up for it, I'd love to hear your first impression after you try it out! :)
Vidhi Raval
This is wonderful! Excited to check it out & prioritize myself ✨
Jessica Devine
@vidhi_raval wonderful! I built this so that I could have a tool to help me prioritize myself - every time it helps someone else take a little better care of themselves, even if just for a moment, all of the effort feels worthwhile. I'd love to hear your first impression after you've had a chance to take it for a test drive.
Nicole McDonald
What a great project management tool!
Jessica Devine
@nicole_mcdonald thanks for the kind words! But, realtalk - because I don't want you to be disappointed - it's probably not very good at all for project management. I kinda figure we've all got enough focus on our work deliverables - we have to, or we wouldn't stay employed. And we've got our grocery list covered, cause we have to eat. Todayist is basically designed for the OTHER stuff. The important, but non-urgent stuff, that tends to get pushed to the back burner. If that resonates then you should try it out! If you're looking for project management tools Trello is currently my fave. :)
Farbod Saraf
Looks helpful, congrats on the launch!
Mitchell Gibson
This look very slick! Will definitely download them.
Jessica Devine
@mitchellmgibson thanks! Would love to hear your first impression after you get a chance to try it out! :)
Brianna Dusseault
I love how flexible this app is - I was able to customize all my goals and set reminders for those where I need more help completing them.... I already set bigger annual goals and this fits in so nicely, because it is helping me take the day-to-day small steps necessary to meet the bigger goals. The interface is very easy to use too. I'd recommend this for anyone who is looking for a little boost in daily self care and looking for ways to keep it simple and customized to your needs.
