Ticker Nerd - Analysing hot stocks before the hype train arrives

We use software that scrapes the Internet to figure out which stocks are being mentioned more often. We filter through the noise and dig deep into 2-3 stocks. A weekly report is delivered straight to your inbox every Wednesday 9am sharp (PST).

You highlight a few stocks. It would be more useful to see average change for all stock 2 and 4 weeks after mentioned. Is it possible to see all old newsletters?
Luciano Viterale
@health_rational We've just built a new site so our members have access to all our previous additions and can see a running tally of the overall performance of every stock ever mentioned (so far its ~15% +). We will keep this in mind and try and include a dashboard as well! Thanks :)

@health_rational @luciano_viterale 15% up in what timeframe? it would be interesting to see graphs comparing the stock your alg picked vs. avarage performing of Spy, ETFs, etc.

Thanks for hunting, @thepatwalls ! Myself and @samuel_renotte1 started Ticker Nerd with the intention of scraping, analysing and presenting stocks being mentioned more frequently on the internet. Eventually we decided to pivot and turn this into an email newsletter. Why? For a couple of reasons: 1. It would save people having to learn how to use a complicated tool 2. Our members would hear about stocks that have the potential to 10x-100x before they actually do 3. It would save our members 20+ hours of research a week 4. We could create exclusive content people wouldn’t find anywhere else We use ~6 different tools to find trending stock (including some of our own ghetto ones), unsurprisingly a lot of the trending stocks are garbage. So we spend a fair amount of time filtering these. We’ve sent 3 reports so far and we’re improving each week. We look forward to getting some feedback! P.s. The name Ticker Nerd was actually generated by Copy.ai (thanks @paulyacoubian)🙂

@thepatwalls @samuel_renotte1 @paulyacoubian @luciano_viterale Congrats on the launch, Luciano. Your product is right in time when I was looking for it ;) I have one question that is not answered on the landing page. Is it fully automatic (tracking mentions, scraping, analysis, published) by your software or do you do some manual analysis on the data points before publishing?
Luciano Viterale
@dinakar That’s a great question! It isn’t, there’s a fair bit of manual analysis that goes into this to make sure our recommendations are suitable

Congrats on the launch Luciano! I love the name! I suspect a newsletter is the right format for the product and I think you'll get quite a few subscribers quickly. Keep up the great work!
Luciano Viterale
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback :)

This is a great idea! Congrats with the launch, @luciano_viterale and @samuel_renotte1 ! Is the newsletter archive also availeble in the free trail?
Luciano Viterale
Thanks ! Unfortunately it’s not, however we’ve just started putting together the new site so we can have gated access to the archives and potentially a dashboard

Great looking output @luciano_viterale @samuel_renotte1, particularly relevant given interesting patterns of volatility driven from social platforms right now!

Love this product I think it could be very applicable! I am just curious what kind of websites are you scraping ?
Luciano Viterale
Thanks! We track reddit, Twitter and Google. We’re also going to start cross referencing the companies we choose with the trades other affluent people are making that require them to disclose their positions to the SEC.

This is Awesome

Ive been needing something to help me understand this stuff better too so this sounds pretty cool
Marco Cunha
The idea looks promising but I would prefer to test it first before adding my credit card details
Luciano Viterale
Hey Marco! I don’t blame you for that at all, the idea of the 2 week trial was to see how you felt about it first. We might start sending a free edition upon sign up or to view on the site. We just started building a new site so I’ll note that! Thanks

Great idea. A running track of your performance (buys and sells) from day 1 would be useful to see.

A great way to keep on top of what's hot before the rest of the market knows
