Hey community, thank you for the interest to the project! The original idea came to my mind during pretty (1)tedious and (2)unproductive process of trying to get a language exchange through reddit/tandem etc. (1)Firstly the process of finding exchange partner is not that simple as I expected. To find a good partner among thousands I have to find one with the similar interests, language level, intensions of conversations, then continuously match the schedule of the partner to have a conversations, that is not really easy. All of this feeling like a quicksand. (2)Secondly, many use language exchanges as opportunities to flirt, others simply have nothing to talk about. To avoid this unpleasant parts of conversations I came up with idea of activity-related approach over partner-related. So the idea is that you can choose the activity(little talk, discussion, "change my mind", roleplay, game eg. "Who I am?" etc.) created by other learner and jump into language practice. There is full information of the activity: title of activity, partner name, language speak/learn, level, type of communication(voice/video/text) and descriptive hashtags. So, the application is just a my try to bring some velocity, interactivity and kind of lightness to language exchanges. I would be very happy if the same vision resonate with you.
