What do you mean by "without going through an exhaustive hiring process"? Why is your solution better than existing hiring agencies?

So basically all profiles on talently have already given technical assessments, have gotten their video interviews done, so within minutes you can view a profile and decide if its a good match or not. Without actually having to conduct hours of screening interviews first. Its better than hiring agencies because right now we have over 100,000+ profiles on the platform and growing. You can sort them, filter them, and then hire them directly. Think of this as agencies at scale, and without the need to hire them through the agency with their markups.

Congrats on the launch @qasimasalam and team! I have been seeing Remotebase.com ads on PH for the last few days. And Talently.ai looks really similar. Are they related? And if so what's the main difference between them?

Not only that, you have access to their resumes, you can watch video testimonials and can filter through the specific resources you need. It is a platform that allows you to choose the candidates you like and prefer. You can even chat with the candidates to see if they can fit in well. This is quicker and can help companies hire a team in an instant.

@cederlund hey Edwards! Remotebase and Talently are definitely related. The main difference is that Remotebase is a more high touch product, where our team works with each company to find the best candidates for them and all candidates are hired and paid through Remotebase. Performance is also managed by Remotebase, and if a candidate does not perform well, they are swapped out within 24 hours. Talently on the other hand is more like a SaaS tool. Both sides of the marketplace (customers + engineers) sign up themselves. The candidates are mostly vetted through automated technical assessments and video screenings. The engineers are paid directly by the client instead of through Remotebase.

Congratulations on the launch Qasim! I went on the site but found a couple of things confusing: Firstly, where is the AI? I don't understand how you use AI for this use case. Also, how much am I paying to hire talent? It's not clear to me from your pricing grid. Thanks for clarifying these points.

@ed_forson thank you for your comment Eddie! All profiles on the platform are enriched through GPT3. Their tech stacks, work experience, education history etc is written by GPT3 based on their profiles + resume etc. We are also introducing a new matching algorithm that will help match the right candidates with the right companies. You are not paying per talent, it is a subscription services where you pay to match with talent. For example, with the lowest pricing tier, you can contact 25 talent profiles. Think of this as being similar to LinkedIn's inmail, but the talent profiles of course are much more detailed with technical assessments + video screenings.

@qasimasalam Got it. Thanks for clarifying these points πŸ‘πŸΏ. The pricing structure is a bit odd I find. In the past I've used services where I pay the hiring company directly. These companies then take their cut and in turn they pay the subcontracting dev that is working through them. Your pricing may be more expensive. That is not necessarily a bad thing but of course that means you are on the more premium side of the market and therefore need to be able to justify it to your customers. Good luck!

Awesome project! Where are you sourcing talent from? Are you just scraping? Would be a cool paid feature for people hiring to have a guesstimate of a candidates total compensation so as to not insult the candidate.

@cjries Thank you for your comment! We are currently sourcing from across the globe with special preference for emerging markets. We are not scraping at all. Once you unlock a profile you will get the expected salary for each candidate so that is already built in.
