Hi everyone! I’m excited to finally share about SyncTasks.

Karl, the developer of the iOS app, originally built SyncTasks to create a better task management experience for himself and fellow Notion users. When I came across its transparent task list widget, it instantly caught my eye as a fan of minimal aesthetics. That’s when I teamed up with Karl to take SyncTasks further, not just for Notion users, but as a go-to to-do app for anyone who loves clean, distraction-free design.

Since then, we’ve overhauled the app with a new design featuring a tab bar, and added features like Apple Reminders integration. Now you can bring all your lists into one space and check things off without the clutter.

We’d love to hear your thoughts whether you’re an existing user or just checking it out for the first time!

@heyeaslo This looks fantastic! The transparent task list widget caught my attention too, such a sleek and minimalistic approach to task management. I love that SyncTasks is now more versatile, with the addition of Apple Reminders integration, making it even easier to keep everything in one place. It’s great to see a to-do app that doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary features but instead focuses on keeping things clean and efficient.

For those of you looking to grow your app’s presence, I’d recommend checking out InsertAffiliate. It allows you to easily set up an affiliate program to help you scale without high upfront costs. Definitely something to consider for app promotions!

Great job, Karl and team, SyncTasks is shaping up to be a must-have for anyone who loves productivity with a clean design!

@tohkarle I love apps with a clean, simple design. Tasks are already enough to handle—having a lightweight tool to keep things organized makes life so much easier!

Let’s try it! I think that now more than ever, with all these productivity tools becoming slower and bloated with features, there’s a real need for something that just does one thing — and does it well.
Good luck with the launch!

Desmond

Congratulations on your launch! I'm a big fan of minimalism. Does the Notion sync support bidirectional updates in real-time?

Hey @desmond_ren1, thanks so much for the congrats! And glad to hear you’re into minimalism, that’s a big part of what inspired SyncTasks. As for the syncing, Notion recently introduced webhooks for their API, which is super exciting, and we’re currently working on integrating them to make the Notion syncing as real-time as possible. For now, the app syncs every time you launch it, and after you close it, it continues syncing every hour in the background to keep the widget updated.

SyncTasks looks like a dream come true for anyone who loves clean design but still wants serious functionality. The transparent widget + Apple Reminders integration is a killer combo — super excited to see a minimalist to-do app that actually feels calming to use.

Wishing you and Karl all the success — checking it out now! ✅

@williamrobertscott The "transparent" widget is one of my favorite features! I look forward to hearing more thoughts or feedback!

how does the transparent widget work? just added and it's just black... with a massive circle to check off and doesn't look like it's aligned right

David Nyuwin

worked it out my bad, would be nice if you could customise the wallpaper, so it's not just black or white

Easlo
@david_nyuwin You can go to the app Settings > Widgets, and in there you can customise the look of the widget, including the background color.

Just gave SyncTasks a spin and I’m impressed. The simplicity and clean design make it easy to use. The widget is such a smart touch too, already helping me stay on track. One thing I’d love to see in the future is the ability to add custom tags or prioritize tasks (like marking them as urgent or important). Also curious..any plans to integrate with Microsoft To Do? That would be a game-changer for me.
