Stylepill - Get beautiful open source UI components weekly

Stylepill is the best place to host all your UI components (you can re-download at any time). You can also feed you personal repository with another users' components.

We're working on a closed beta, making the repository with our early subscribers. But if you want access, let us know, we'll gladly give it to you.

Hi PH! Sergio and I started Stylepill a couple of hours ago to learn how to design products quickly and learning from the process. We came across with carrd.co by @ajlkn on Twitter, and we found it fantastic and a new way to create and validate products quickly. So we sat down with Sergio one night, and we analyzed that we could build in less than one day, and launch the next day. This is how Stylepill was born. Stylepill does not solve any problems, nor will it change the world at all. We've just designed a number of very cute web themes throughout our career and we would like to share them with you, but we wanted to do it in a different and creative way, and we decided to split each theme into small, 100% customizable and easy-use components, which we'll send randomly weekly to your email. If you're a designer and would like to share your components with the world, you can ping us at rosita.and.sergio@gmail.com and we'll add your work to our repository and send it to all subscribers (of course, we'll respect your authorship and also we'll let people know who created those components). We hope you like this small but beautiful project, any comment, suggestion, idea, feedback is 100% welcome, and we'll be responding to each of your comments with pleasure. Happy weekend! Rosita & Sergio

Cool idea and format! A great way to deliver value and make use of e-mail marketing. You could introduce categories and premium sets as it grows :) Looking forward to my first mail!

@itsdavelux Thank you for your comment 🙇🏻‍♀️ and yes, with this 'experiment' we wanted to test the building a site without coding, and receive fast feedback and validation. We've received 156 subscribers so far, that is awesome for us. Tomorrow I'm going to talk with Sergio to analyze what would be the next step.

@rosa7082 You're welcome! That's very lean, I like it. And congrats on the progress! I just checked out the #now section, the insights and transparency are awesome! I'm planning on launching a newsletter too, in a different niche. If it's okay I'll hit you up and we can share what works? For example I thought about using https://upviral.com/ (I'm not related to the service 😁) and combine it with premium content. Maybe that could be of use for you too! :)

This looks nice (and a great name too btw). I'm subscribing. Question - do you have any plans to involve the community in discussion? e.g. Disqus / PH style comments / discussion threads around each component. Every once in a while I come across a UI component that makes me say "Wow! The color and corners are beautifully designed, etc.". I guess if there are more than one person saying the above, it can be a discussion thread and will not be just a 1-way communication (like mailing list).
Rosita
@dotmanish Hi, thanks for your comment. Well, being honest the truth we don't know yet what will be the next step. This product was an experiment to build and validate a product quickly. Actually what you say is true, keeping this project with the only mailing list is so difficult, we have to create an interaction and be able to create a small community around this topic. So, your idea sounds fantastic, people be able to comment and give their opinion around components (not only our components, but also the user's components) is a great way to add interaction.

Another suggestion - you may want to change that "Join to List" to "Join the List". The "to" makes it look like it's only for component submitters.
Rosita
@dotmanish Ahhh ok! Thanks. We are going to keep it in mind. 🙇🏻‍♀️

Great idea.

@tcelestino Thanks a lot 🙇

Where can I find the set from the screenshot #1?
Rosita
@csaba_kissi Hi, thanks for writing. The first screenshot is a mixture of several themes that we have made. It's an example of our style, it's not a set in reality, it's the union of many! But don´t worry, we're going to send these components weekly.

All this in BEM… neat! Since I am currently learning it =)
