This is such a smart use of AI agents!
Considering both how easy it's becoming to add features to SaaS with AI coding and how (as a result), it's harder than ever to compare and contrast different software platforms with exploding featuresets — a solution like Stackfix, which adapts its evaluations to your team's particular needs and use cases, is critical.
Stop reading generic reviews that don't relate to your particulia needs.
Use Stackfix to fix your stack!
@chrismessina Thanks a lot Chris! We're really excited to let people compare software in a new way, which is faster and more precise than ever before.
Like you said, our bet is that AI will let society ship dramatically more products. This is great: there'll be so many more great products and solutions for you.
But there's difficulty. There'll be many more products that are a bad match for you - with extra time and money costs in searching. Plus, higher risks of you getting locked into badly fitting solutions.
So, by testing products and getting prices with AI agents, we solve this: finding the very best software for you (in seconds).
It's an exciting time for software (and the world). We hope that people like our product.
Hey team, congratulations on the launch! just a question for @paddystobbs: how does the stackfix rating works? I see fields like ease of use or look and feel but it seems like you don't use reviews so I'm curious to know how can you evaluate these.
Anyways, congrats also on the seed round 🚀
@sofia__bettari Hey Sofia! Great question - in short, we use AI agents to continuously test software products. These agents simulate workflows to evaluate what each product does and how well it performs. Our team of human experts verifies the data and adds valuable insights, ensuring accuracy and depth. This approach enables us to gather real-time data on pricing, features, and performance, allowing you to instantly and confidently compare software products. In a world where there'll be exponentially more software products, we feel this solution is not only sufficiently scalable, but more thorough and objective.
Lot more to build!
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Paddy, co-founder of Stackfix, and we're thrilled to be live on Product Hunt!
When building my previous startup (Jukedeck, which was acquired by TikTok), I saw firsthand just how time-consuming it often is to find the right tools for your business - navigating endless options, confusing pricing, and overly pushy sales tactics.
The existing solutions are bad. G2.com and Capterra rely on user-generated reviews, which are often out-of-date, incomplete, or biased - with many reviews sponsored by vendors. The result? Businesses buy the wrong products, and burn productivity and cash.
This problem is getting much worse. Advances in AI have dramatically lowered the barriers to building and updating software, leading to an explosion in the number of available tools - some are great, but many are not. Traditional review-based approaches cannot keep up.
➡️ Stackfix enables you to compare software in seconds. ⬅️
Unlike traditional review-based platforms, we use AI agents to continuously test software products. These agents evaluate what each product does and how well it performs. Our team of human experts verifies the data and adds valuable insights, ensuring accuracy and depth. This approach lets us gather real-time data on pricing, features, and performance - allowing you to instantly and confidently compare software products.

Our mission is to make software buying easy and transparent, so that you can find the tools you love at the lowest price. And we’re grateful that hundreds of top startups like ElevenLabs and Synthesia already use Stackfix to buy their software.
We're also announcing that we've raised a $3M seed round led by Chalfen Ventures, with participation from Seedcamp and helloworld, alongside prominent angel investors such as Paul Forster (Founder of Indeed.com), Mehdi Ghissassi (Head of Product at DeepMind) and Matt Clifford (Co-Founder of Entrepreneur First).
We’re super excited to launch on Product Hunt and hear what you think!
PS Huge thanks to @chrismessina for not only hunting us but also providing amazing advice on our launch 🙏.
Congrats to Stackfix team on the launch. This is great @paddystobbs! There is a lack of comparability in pricing right now with same features named differently and multiple parameters that can impact the plan you fall under. If a tool can give me the price I need to pay for my requirements for top tools in the market, it would be great.
@jainswapnil14 Thanks a lot Swapnil. We share your pricing frustration! I once had to go through 6 sales calls before I was given a quote 🤯. And I think you describe the lack of uniformity (in terms of structures and terminology across products) perfectly - it is often extremely hard to compare one software product's pricing to another. That's why we decided to build a pricing engine from the ground up. It's live for our first 8 software categories - let us know if other categories would be useful!
@jainswapnil14@paddystobbs The lack of transparency around pricing is bewildering to me. Not only a huge waste of my time but also it sucks to learn someone else negotiated a better deal. Should be standard and clear!
This is very cool, the UI is so slick and responsive, it would have helped us save time when we were trying to find a suitable project management response at our company
@mohamed_habib1 Cheers so much - credit to @camin_mccluskey and @tomdekan for the Eng wizardry, and @h_mac (& some friends) for that UI. Project Management is one of those categories where you really think it should be easy to decide, but there are now so many options. Let us know if there are any tools you'd love us to dig into!
@pinar Great observation! You’ve nailed one of the biggest pain points in software buying—having to sit through endless sales calls just to get a price quote.
That’s a key problem we're trying to solve! For products that require speaking to sales, we display pricing we’ve obtained directly through those calls or from verified quotes shared by our network—saving you time and hassle. 😊
It’s saved me a ton of time when picking the right tools. The AI-powered testing combined with expert validation is a game-changer. It’s so much easier to find reliable software now, and I love that you keep everything up-to-date in real-time—no more outdated pricing or specs. Are you planning to expand into more software categories in the future?
@feliciana_liu Thanks so much Feliciana, we're so glad you've found Stackfix helpful.
To your excellent question: yes, we are definitely hoping to expand our software categories to help as many businesses as possible! Do you have any categories which you'd like to see?
@feliciana_liu Hey Feliciana, that's brilliant to hear. We have a comprehensive section on Marketing Automation Platforms (think: Klaviyo, Hubspot, Mailchimp etc), which may cover some of the tools you could use in your stack!
Here's a link to the most low-cost Marketing Automation Platforms, have a scroll and let us know if you'd like to see any more products or categories! https://bit.ly/41DEg3F
Awesome product that solves a pain point I hit all the time as CTO at a startup - what software is going to get the job done for us and how can I compare the market quickly. Congrats to the Stackfix team.
Love what you’re doing - G2 has been sat on a great platform but disappointed both sides for too long!
How do you ensure your AI agents stay unbiased and don’t accidentally favour certain tools during evaluations?
@tony_hunter Thank you so much Tony, this is extremely heartening for us to hear!
Excellent question. We test each product against pre-determined rubrics, with specific criteria defined for what 'good' looks like at each level. This aims to eliminate bias during the evaluation.
We also guard against the risk of AI bias by making sure that every data point, including each rating and comment, is reviewed by multiple Stackfix Experts. The Experts verify that the AI has scored the product accurately.
So in short, we use a combination of (a) set criteria and (b) final human checks to help us guard against bias to the best of our abilities.
@rhydian_jones Thanks Rhydian! A great question - absolutely.
At the moment, you can do this in two ways:
(i) Use the 'compare' function on the homepage to compare your existing tools to your new tools. This will map out all the features, and you can make sure you're not doubling up on payment. Or:
(ii) Use our homepage search bar to filter for the exact features you need in your new tool.
That being said, the specific feature you're after is also on our product roadmap✨. When it releases, we'd be keen to know what you think!
Cannot wait to get access to a comprehensive review of cap table software solutions... This has been on mine and Matt's list at Ada Ventures for years..
@checkwarner Same, even from the company side -- there's so much complexity around jurisdictions, VC integrations, and additional offerings (e.g., equity calculators etc)....
love it! It’s annoying how the default pattern for buying software for a company has become "get on a sales call, wait 30 minutes to find out the price" - looking forward to trying this out!
@p44v9n We couldn't agree more Paavan. We've had enough of this too...
When pricing is locked away behind a sales call (and presumably you're sitting on multiple of these calls just to get pricing), it needlessly slows you down.
We're so excited to now push out a solution that does things a little differently – hopefully you'll find it useful and informative!
I run a Community for people in early stage startups & I'm thinking of making a little FAQs for FA's when they join on where to look for things - deciding on software/processes is usually a #1 task! *DEFINITELY* will be plugging Stackfix now it's live!!
@emilie_lauga Glad we can be helpful! And totally know what you mean, very often the laborious task of search for software gets pawned off to the smart-but-junior generalist in the team.
Coming back to the person with the company card, confident your feature and pricing research is correct, is important but time consuming. With Stackfix its done in a matter of minutes so your FAs can get back to more high leverage uses of their time!
Congrats on the launch, love this idea! I'm surprised nobody made this before. A few quick thoughts that might make the experience even smoother. Add labels to drop-downs so it’s easier to follow. Use range buckets for the user drop-down. Maybe rename “Requirements” to something like “Core functionality” and “Take the quiz” to “Tune the search” to make it clearer.
Excited to see where this goes, awesome work!
@anton_osipov Cheers Anton – we're hoping to solve a problem that has hitherto been too gritty and overlooked to build a useful tool for. And excitingly, we're using AI to unlock the solution.
As to your fantastic UI and copy suggestions, very helpful to know what you see with fresh eyes. We've diligently noted these down and will be using them to fine-tune future launches!
@anton_osipov Thanks so much for the very helpful feedback Anton. Your points make a lot of sense, and we'll digest and plot asap. Really appreciate you taking the time to share that - I sense you know how helpful that is!
@anton_osipov Absolutely we do! With so much noise in the software world, our AI agents cut through it all by continuously testing products, with checks from multiple experts!
@karteeck123 Not currently, but it’s definitely an interesting category we’re hoping to add in the future! We can see how valuable it would be for many startups.
Any other categories we should add?
@stephanie_leung
I’m actually in the demo automation space myself, wanted to check out if our product does turn out to be the right match for prospects haha
This sounds and looks very interesting! I just visited the website and tried it out. One question: how is something like customer support assessed and ranked?
@gina_elenaa Good question! First our team identifies the critical aspects to evaluate (this typically involves speaking with a number of experienced users across use cases, as well as taking key products for a spin ourselves). We then use a combination of AI agents and our team of software experts to evaluate those aspects, and collect objective information on each product. Finally each product undergoes several rounds of review to ensure accuracy. We then use the resultant data to rank products across several universal points, including ease of use and customer support. We're going to publish some deeper dives on this which will hopefully be of interest to you!
This is the kind of idea where I thought: Why did it not already exist? I'll use for use for sure not to fall into some SaaS limitations traps for my team. Thanks guys.
@nicolas_garcin That's what we were thinking too!
Thanks Nicolas - do give it a try and see what you think. We're reachable through the live chat button on the website anytime, so do shout if you have questions!
@jorburn Thanks Jordan! The lack of transparency (and complexity) around pricing is one of our driving forces - too many buyers are paying over the odds because it's so difficult to efficiently compare prices. Here's to changing that!
Congrats, @chrismessina@paddystobbs@camin_mccluskey@tomdekan@stephanie_leung!
Sounds interesting if it provides unbiased comparison w/o affiliate links :)
Quick questions:
1. Do you plan to adopt any schema that all Softwares can adopt to like JSON-L so Stackfix gets accurate information or do you rely purely on AI? Depending purely on AI may not be the right choice because not every Software Vendors mention everything which they think is Given.
2. How do you keep the evaluations updated as tools change? Anything like Google Search Console to refresh the Indexing?
Hi @ashitvora, trust is central to everything we do so being unbiased is key. We do earn a commission if you click through and purchase via Stackfix, however our rankings are based on comprehensive evaluation of each product according to rubrics for the software category. You can learn more about that process here - https://www.stackfix.com/blog/co....
Thanks for your thoughtful questions! To answer:
1. We love open standards and would like to incorporate them into our data collection process in the way you're describing. Currently we use a mix of AI, traditional data extraction and human evaluation to gather data. This means the feature data you see on Stackfix is never quoted verbatim from vendors. Therefore what they decide to mention (or not mention) does not affect our evaluation criteria for their tool.
2. We have systems that actively monitor the software landscape for changes as well as proactive mechanisms to keep our data up-to-date. Data freshness is extremely important to us, so you can trust you're seeing the most up-to-date picture of the software you're interested in.
