Spokn - Easy internal podcasts for your team

Hey PH! It’s Mariel here from Spokn, an app for creating and sharing internal company podcasts. We help you keep employees connected to your strategy and culture – without Zoom fatigue 😅. My cofounder Fawzy and I have been audio nuts for a long time. Same for most people we know. Since podcasts are so popular, we wondered why more companies weren't using them. Then remote work happened. We saw leaders struggling to keep employees aligned with company strategy and culture. Zoom fatigue is *reeeal* and time zones are a scheduling nightmare. Emails feel impersonal (if they ever get read) and Slack is really noisy. So we launched Spokn as a personal and scalable way to keep employees in the loop while giving them a break from their screens. Thanks - the range is big! We've got teams of ~50+ using Spokn at larger companies, and most early customers roll out Spokn as they scale 150 ➡️ 250 ➡️ 500 ➡️ 1000+. These are inflection points where it's easy for employees to lose a sense of direction and connection to the company). The use case looks a little different in each.

Congrats. Love the concept. What do you expect your pricing model or tiers to be? Enterprise client only?

I love this! Daily standups are taking too much time and I strongly believe there are ways to shorten this whole process and idea of standups. This could be it.

Great idea. Personally, I hate the sound of my voice so I wouldn't want to use this medium but as an HR manager who's constantly trying to nail down my CEO to provide the team with updates, this could be good for him on those busy days to give something quickly. Good luck! I can see this being really popular with People teams.

As someone who used to work on an entirely remote team (Upwork's full-time staff) I think there's a big opportunity to leverage audio to improve team communication & training. Glad to see your launch!
