Snipd - Highlight & discover noteworthy moments in podcasts with AI

Hi Product Hunters! Big thanks to @benln for his support. 🙌 I’m Kevin and co-founder of Snipd. Together with @mikel_corcuera and @hi_im_ferdinand, we’ve built a podcast player using AI to help listeners highlight and discover noteworthy moments in podcasts. Why we built Snipd As avid knowledge podcast listeners (Huberman Labs, Tim Ferriss Show (@tim1), Lex Friedmann are some of our favorites), we were underwhelmed by big podcast players like Spotify or Apple in their lack of functionalities to take notes and capture moments that we wanted to keep for later. So we decided to tackle it ourselves 🙂 And after winning Europe’s largest Hackathon HackZurich, we saw that there was a gap we could help fill and decided to work on Snipd full time. 3 out of 4 podcast listeners say that they listen to podcasts to learn something new. This is why we’ve built the main features of Snipd specifically for “knowledge seekers” like ourselves. And with our background in machine learning, we saw the opportunity to leverage the power of AI to help knowledge seekers get more out of their podcast listening. I needed Snipd in my life more than anything! This is such a useful tool. btw, can I make folders in Snipd? It would help me keep my podcasts organized.

Nice! So cool how it separates automatically the podcast I am listening to into multiple chapters. The AI works pretty well!

Congrats on the launch! I started using it recently and I really love: - the automatic chapters features - ability to easily create highlights and adjust the start/end by selecting text - Obsidian export Transcripts are a bit rough around the edges sometimes (mostly used it with Tim Ferriss's podcast for now), but it's good enough. Great work team!

I love using Snipd to get insights from podcasts into Readwise and then Obsidian. The UX is simple and the AI pretty good (and it can only get better, right?). The team have been super responsive on Twitter too. I have to admit I still use Overcast and then switch to Snipd when I'm listening to a podcast I want to preserve. But I'm super picky about the functionality I want in a podcast player, and no single one has ticked it all yet!
