SnapFit is a social camera designed to showcase your fitness activities. Inviting you to capture each workout with a photo and a summary of your activity on top of it.
I created this product after I started running with my friends. We were all on Strava but each time, we were sending some photos between us showing our stats and selfie on messaging platforms. That's how I saw an opportunity to build a product around that, more focus on photo/video and social interactions.
More than just a camera, SnapFit helps you build a community within the app so you can motivate each other and keep a diary of all your efforts. To make it even more enjoyable, the app features its own feed, offering a safe place for people to share their not-always-perfect photos. We encourage real and candid shots taken when you are still sweaty —images that may not be 'Instagrammable' for some, and that's what we value.
First I thought it's a alternative of STRAVA, but on a closer look it's completely different. I like that we can keep a diary of all efforts within the app.
That is nice to share photos, but with it it will be more motivating to share our steps too, with our connections.
and currently a walking challenge is going on, would you all like to join it?
Thank you
@lory_huz sure.
currently a walking challenge is going on and that is online. and winners will get reward also, but more than it i am getting motivation to walk more each and every time i look on my steps and getting coins, i am in top 5 currently. here is a link for challenge: https://www.townscript.com/e/amb...
its exciting for me and i am sharing my steps with my friends so we are motivating each other.
I will be happy to see you on the winners dashboard.
Thank you
Exciting launch, @lory_huz! SnapFit seems like a great tool to visually document fitness progress. 👏 Are there plans to integrate features like progress tracking or goal setting to help users stay motivated and focused on their fitness journey?
@ashwinaravind yes the profile will be a big part of the app, actually it's quite basic only showing the fitness captures but we'll personalise it to be a real fitness social profile with quite original things, and compile a video timeline of all of your captures at the end of each months so you have something really cool to share
Upvoted! The concept is cool, like a workout diary that actually motivates you to push a bit harder.
So, how does SnapFit stand out in the bustling world of fitness apps? Does it have any tricks up its sleeve to keep us coming back after the initial novelty wears off?
@aman_wen the feed with your friend and sporty mates is the thing that should keep you motivated, because each time a friend is posting you will see a real photo/video of its workout and not just stats so it's quite catchy to me to have this with my friends actually but the challenge will be to scale this experience to other people as the barrier of onboarding the app is quite big (you need Health with workout on it, then invites and convince friends to join you etc)
