Browser extension to improve the experience on the new Twitter by giving more focus to what matters: the tweets. Not the right sidebar or the gigantic menu labels.
There are similar extensions out there, but this one uses a different strategy. Instead of messing with CSS, it tricks Twitter to activate *its own* responsive design. The result feels pretty natural and great to use.
The alternatives put the buttons at the edge of the screen, which is annoying to move the mouse cursor. This one keeps everything at the center, close to each other.
The new Twitter uses dynamics class names (e.g.: `.css-1dbjc4n` instead of `.my-class-name`). The other extensions that depend on class names or on "div > div > div" will break at any time. This one won’t.
It’s available for Chrome and Firefox (EDIT: And now Safari as well).
Hope you like it! Thanks.
I am using this extension since last 2 weeks, and I must say it is awesome which make my twitter distraction-free especially from trending hashtags.
PS: It has only permission to read twitter's website data + It is open source.
@nickchuckwalter it doesn't! This was caused by having a "tabs" permission in the previous manifest, but I removed it on v1.2+.
The problem is that v1.2 is "pending review", some random manual audit from google, so it may take a couple days to show up in the Chrome store.
You can use the current version with no worries anyway.
@abdulumer_ I didn’t get any other report of it not working. Are you at the latest version of Chrome? Latest version of the extension? What's your OS? Have you refreshed the twitter page after installing it? Please try again.
