@linusgeffarth Hi Linus, thanks for the question! Actually we decided to reinvest our company profits to build this product. Nowadays the products that really matter are practically free and this matches our mission mission statement: to democratize the e-signature!

Got it. I mean I totally agree with that mindset, but that's not how capitalism usually works 😄 So like is this a marketing thing that gets people to your real business? There's gotta be something you make off of this. (Don't take it personally, I've just gotten a little suspicious about these things.)

@linusgeffarth Right, right :) :) :) We do have a premium plan. But what I want to say (and Gary Vee says it better than myself lol) is that nowadays the key is to make a product that really matter to people. If you bring value to your user, there is then 100 ways to monetize in a direct or indirect mode... but yes, we have a premium plan coming soon :)

@alexander_eble Thanks a lot Alexander! Well our first target is to democratize the e-signature (the first level of eIDAs). We believe that there are still too many people who are still printing, signing and scanning each document or who use a picture of their signature in a word document. Our Premium version (expected on 05/22) will offer AES via SMS or Whatsapp verification. QES is really specific to each country and it's not in the backlog for the moment. I hope that this helps!

To make it most straightforward possible, you do not need login account. But I have a good news for you: by default your signature stays in the secure storage of your browser, so no need to draw it every time!

@petartodd Hello Petar, SignFree focuses on the e-signature and Advance E-Signature as we really make it more accessible to people everywhere, i.e. in and outside Europe. For the qualified e-signature there are more and more applications handle this part. For example in Belgium there is Itsme. Do you have a country in mind for the qualified e-signature?

@nicola_di_giorgio I've worked on the harmonization of the EU and the Macedonian law related to e-signatures and I've realized two things in the process: 1) e-signatures are often not accessible due to costs, and 2) people never know what the particular e-signature is enough for (will it be recognized if they signed a contract with it etc.). That is why I wanted to know what kind e-signatures you offer. If it is registered in the Trust Providers List of any country in the EU, then it will be recognized in Macedonia as well.

@petartodd Good to know this. Actually we were also involved with the implementation of QEA signatures for banks and insurances in Belgium but SignFree do not target this market. But the qualified signatures is quite complicated and it applies to really specific scenarios (notary deeds, ...). We actually noticed that for most of the documents of our everyday life it's enough to include an e-signature or to get a verification of the identity of the signer by SMS. Already these 2 levels are not accessible to the majority of the people and I think that once this will be granted, then all signature will be level up to qualified. But I guess that jumping directly to the qualified e-signature for all documents it's a bit too early (by the way macedonia is a wonderful country, I really liked travelling there :)

The approach is a bit the other way around: if you send a document to be signed, you do not have to prepare the template, but it's the receiver who is going to place the signature on it.
