Hi Product Hunt! Before embarking on the journey that turned into ShiftX, my co-founders and I worked with hundreds of leaders across numerous organizations in the Nordics. What we experienced time and time again was that understanding the ins and outs of an organization is really hard, but visualizing it always helped. Tools like PowerPoint, Miro, and others were easy to use but became too lightweight if you started getting serious, while tools in the EA (Enterprise Architecture) and BPM (Business Process Modeling) space were too complex and hard to learn for the average user. So we created ShiftX. We believe it is the fastest and easiest way to visualize a process or workflow. And it shines in workshops with our auto-layout and simple drag and drop, so if you ever need to iron out some misunderstandings, ShiftX will be your friend :) Next up we are working on new ways to visualize the connections and data that exist in the models and we are exploring integrations that will make sense for a tool like ShiftX. Thanks for checking us out! Feedback is always welcome :)

I’ve been looking for something like this. Nice work!

Great to hear, @stevenkryger!

Hey @eigilsagafos and all makers, congrats on the Product. In Large Enterprises, your Solution is highly demanded and requested. I also worked in many B2B contexts where shaping the Customer Journeys, Business Processes, ERP and internal company flows, always took a lot of effort and time. Having the appropriate tool for sure helps to save time and costs, as well as improve the quality of the deliverable. One key common ask and added-value feature would be the availability of Libraries of processes, customer journeys, etc., to be reused by the companies to jump-start the design and avoid reinventing the wheel. Great Work, best, Giuseppe

Thanks for the elaborate comment, @giuseppe_di_nuccio. And yeah, B2B Enterprise has been our main market this far. Some of us are former consultants that have been working in that space before, and that's also how we saw the need for something like this. We've been considering libraries/templates/best-practice examples a lot lately, and definitely agree that it would add value to a lot of our (potential) users. Thanks again! Are, Product Manager
Eigil Sagafos
@giuseppe_di_nuccio Thanks for your comment. Templates are definitely on our list! We have had some stories from users stating that the time required in ShiftX is 1/10 of Visio, and templates should make it even easier to get started.

Cool! Can it be used to visualize data in databases like Formaloo or SQL-baed databases?
Jarand Millett
@farokh_shahabi Thanks for your feedback, Farokh. We are always looking for great tools to integrate with, but we have no integration with Formaloo at this time.
Eigil Sagafos
Great question @farokh_shahabi, but unfortunately no. In ShiftX you visualize business flows and processes by incorporating the systems and roles involved in a simple and narrative way. This created connections (and therefore data) that can later be explored and seen from different perspectives. This lets you answer questions like "What processes does Salesforce take part in" or "What other processes depend on our Invoicing process". We have tried to make process modeling closer to "just tell the story". We think that a very underutilized asset in any organization is the knowledge of the employees, so that is what we are working to gather and utilize.

Ran the mission statement through WordHero! Digging the PAS it came up with: Pain: You need to understand and communicate complex processes, but the available tools are too complicated for non-technical users. Agitate: You can’t get your team to agree on what a process looks like, or you’re stuck with static diagrams that quickly become out of date. Solution: ShiftX is a user-friendly tool that lets anyone create and update process maps with a few clicks. It also connects data from different sources so you can see how they affect each other. Congrats on the launch!

Interesting and quite spot on, @jamesskon. Thanks!

Congratulations on your launch team ShiftX

Thank you, @amelia_charlie ☺️

This is super useful. Miro is great but these features you have Actors and being to enter data in a dialog box seems like it simplifies / automates everything much more. Signing up.

Great to hear, @jsteneros. That's the plan! Thank you!
Great tool that I'm probably going to use soon. Looked at it over my live stream earlier: https://youtu.be/T8dXSuSScso?t=143

Not bad!

@mkozhemiako Thanks, I guess 😅

Cool explainer video @eigilsagafos !

Wish I had this a while ago, was playing with processplan and LucidChart and so many others for so long. Having something quick and reasonably priced to map out processes is so needed. Wish it could somehow connect into Zapier 😁😉
Are Westerink Sandvik
Glad to hear, @alexhbass! We're currently planning for possible integrations, and Zapier is on the list. What's your main use case?
Alex Bass
@aresan ohh, I actually meant connecting in with Zapier to map out Zaps in your interface automatically (don't think their API would allow for that) 😬 Not sure exactly what I'd want in an actual zap connector though. Creating a new process and being able to map some boilerplate steps would be cool.
Are Westerink Sandvik
I see! Yeah, thanks for the feedback, @alexhbass. We'll see how we land our integration strategy, but thanks for taking an interest.
