I’m so thrilled to introduce SearchMyTab, a Chrome extension that helps you find and navigate to your desired Chrome tab in one click. ⚡️ Here is how a no-coder built an extension he wanted, got validation, shipped and landed here on ProductHunt within a week: I have no coding knowledge but have constantly shipped different products since I was in college. All my ideas usually were not tech focused but focused more on operations, expertise and physical products or services. Recently I've been so motivated by indiehackers and no-coders I've found on Reddit and Twitter that I decided to find a problem to solve and ship something even with my limited expertise. I listed down all the problems I had and finally decided on one to work on. Full disclosure, the first 3 failed with hardly any sales. But with the 4th one, I got my first sale within 2 days! I have over 70+ tabs open and a lot of times I end up spending time finding where the tab I am looking for is. So I made this extremely simple extension that allows me to trigger it with a shortcut, search for my tab and click enter to be immediately navigated to it. I shared it with some of my contacts and one of them told me that 2 days in, it's their most used extension! So I made a landing page and shipped the product by posting it on X. I've only been a lurker in the no-code and indiehacking communities so I hardly have a following. I got less than 100 views and was disappointed. As I prepared to launch on ProductHunt, I was shocked to get a notification that I got my first sale just two days in. It's exciting to see that even with just around 100 views, I've got one sale. This is very encouraging especially because I've always felt inferior when it comes to tech products as I don't know how to code and because my previous indiehacking attempts failed miserably. It's been a week where I could use a win. Buoyed by the initial sale and a few more that followed, I’m here today to hear feedback from the very lovely ProductHunt community. I have built this for my use case but would like to hear how it can be better for people based on their browser habits. Help me make this better!
