So many things change as you scale from 5 to 20 engineers, from 20 to 100, etc. You can't learn everything at once, this checklist is a great inspiration for where to start. Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm very excited to launch the Scaling your Engineering Organization Checklist! This is a complete guide to help engineering leaders navigate the changes to their teams, processes, and leadership skills as their company grows. There's a lack of mentorship, resources, and support for engineering leaders, who are often thrown into managerial roles without a clear idea of what that role entails. On our mission to help engineering organizations continuously learn and improve, we've spoken to hundreds of leaders about the challenges they face as their companies scale. With these insights, we put together a checklist to help engineering leaders navigate the different stages of growth — from 5 to 250+ engineers. This checklist gathers insights from some great engineering leaders who helped scale organizations such as Github, PagerDuty, Outsystems, Eventbrite, Honeycomb, and more. We’re working to make this checklist as helpful as possible for engineering leaders.
