@constanzatong @jianuo_xu @typeof_yh @hzsss @nekokazama @new_user___07920246cefa7bc34671145 @brandon_cccc Congrats on the launch! Riffo looks like a game-changer for staying organized. How well does it handle different file types and large batches? Does it support videos or images?
Alexander Spoor
@brandon_cccc this is great! is there any way to submit user feedback?
Constanza Tong
@alexanderspoor Hi Alexandar! You can use the typeform survey on our website https://riffo.ai/ to share your feedback with us now. And we are building an in-app feedback entrance to roll out later πŸ”œ
Brandon
@lightfield We have implemented concurrent processing for multiple files, enabling quick batch renaming. Currently, we support various image formats, including HEIC, JPG photos, and PNG screenshots. In the future, we plan to support video formats.
Constanza Tong
@olena_demc Hi Olena, that’s a really cool idea! Integration to workflow could be one of our next iteration direction:)
Stefans Keiss
Riffo sounds like a game-changer for file organization! Can it integrate with cloud storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox?
German Syroezhkin
Congrats on the launch, @brandon_cccc! Riffo seems like a fantastic tool for managing files. Does Riffo support renaming files in different languages or based on specific user preferences?
Brandon
@laocool Thank you for your support! These features are all part of our plan, and we are working overtime to implement them.

I love the better and better AI applications that are coming out. This is a perfect example of that! What do you do for privacy? I assume you have to send a file transcription to whichever AI API you use.
Constanza Tong
@dan16 Hey Dan! That's a great question, and I'm happy that we share similar thoughts! Currently, Riffo's approach involves using only a portion of the file content (the minimum required) to analyze it, and no file information is stored. In future updates, we may introduce local deployment and self-hosted servers to further enhance privacy and security.
Daniel S
@constanzatong thanks for your answer! How does Riffo identify what is minimally required?
Lee Fuhr
@brandon_cccc Love this idea. I was recently looking for a way to automatically name my folder of PDF document scans based on their content, and this is the closest I've seen. I'd love to be able to better customize the pattern. I want to be able to say "Name this file - ()". All of that data is in almost every doc, after all!
Brandon
@lee_fuhr Thank you very much for your support! We have received your suggestions. We will implement better customization pattern in future versions.
Lee Fuhr
@brandon_cccc Oh wtf, I see now that it borked everything I typed in what shows as "()" I'd typed something like : > I want to be able to say "Name this file: [company that sent the doc / logo at the top-left] - [document type: statement, bill, notice, other] ([document sent date]) ".
Brandon
@lee_fuhr Thank you for your detailed feedback. We will look into it!
Tony Tong
This is an amazing idea! I know arc did some thing for downloaded file renaming and was always expecting something like yours! Congratulation on the launch!
Very promising one! Congrats on the launch.
Alex Dulub
Hey Brandon! Congratulations on launching Riffo! It's incredible to see how AI can simplify such a common yet often tedious task. The team's hard work definitely shines through. Quick question: Does Riffo integrate with cloud storage platforms for organizing files not stored locally? Can't wait to dive in and experience the magic of smart renaming! Cheers to a more organized digital space!
Brandon
@alex_dulub Thank you for your excellent suggestions. In the future, we plan to gradually support Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox, as they all have open APIs and ecosystems. Additionally, we can support more cloud storage services through protocols like WebDAV.
Brandon
@alex_dulub I recently tweeted about my vision for the value of Riffo. β€œThanks to user feedback from @RiffoTheAI, I started thinking about what an AI-native file system should be. It should be a new type of file system that spans both cloud and local environments, allowing for both single-user and multi-user collaboration.” https://x.com/PolarisC0/status/1...
Trent Kennelly
Oooh, and organization tool that doesn't make me think! This is, in my opinion, exactly what all AI should be about - helping us function better. Well done!
Brandon
@trent_kennelly Thank you for your support! Yes, you have accurately understood our concept.
Dania Husen
Such a perfect tool for me who often stores a lot of messy documents/media with the same name. I hope this tool will be available for Windows soon. Congrats on the launch of Riffo, Brandon!
Brandon
@dania_husen Thank you for your support! We will update the Mac version first, and then we will also develop a Windows version.
Dania Husen
@brandon_cccc Alright, I'm looking forward to it! Thank you and good luck🀩

I tried the tool a little bit. This tool is helpful to organize my download or screenshot folder. It is super easy to use and the AI-generated name is surprisingly accurate. I can see the great potential of using generative AI for file management. I wish I can define my naming convention using natural language hint.
Brandon
@fanzhangg Thank you very much for your attempt! In the future, we will support you better in generating naming conventions using natural language. The feature you suggested is very important.
Morris
congrats on the launch! the most useful AI tool I have found these days.
Brandon
@morrisz Thank you for your support, I am honored that my product can help you.
Yucheng L
haha these kinds of small tools always bring my life more fun! I really like how arc browser auto rename download files and I am glad there is a tool for my local files. congrats!
Brandon
@lycfyi Thank you for your support! I indeed got the inspiration from the Arc browser and realized that there should be a better way to manage all files. Renaming is just our first step! We hope to free everyone from tedious file management tasks!
Lukasz Misiak
Loved in my Arc browser, love it even more for my desktop files. Congrats ;)
Brandon
@misiakabc Yes, I think the same as you. I initially got the inspiration from Arc. I hope renaming is just the beginning, and ultimately, we can make human-file interactions more user-friendly in all aspects.
JaredL
Riffo seems like a handy tool to help tame those messy file directories. The AI-powered renaming feature could be a real time-saver, especially for batch processing. I'm curious to see how well it handles different file formats. 🫑
Zenda
Good idea! πŸ‘ It sounds like a very efficient tool, but is there a possibility for inaccuracies in AI naming, how should it be dealt with?
Kane
Launching soon!
Congratulations on the launch. I believe you may have really hit on a true pain point for people.
Linh Le
This sounds like a must for a content editor like me!
Stain Lu
