I paid for my 7 days trial over a year ago. I used it to create a resume, that I paid for and then did not intend to use it again. Yesterday, after over a year I found out they have been charging me every month ever since and I lost abour 275 EUR for an account I didn't know I had and never used again. I checked my e-mails to find some kind of receipts or confirmations that would inform me about the fees that were withdrawn from my account, but didn't find any. Also, I would expect them to ask me whether I wanted to continue with my premium account after the new years, but no such e-mail came - obviously, because they don't want to remind you of them because once they do, you will find out the ugly truth that you were paying some nonsense premium account and once you do, it will be too late and the support will send you one automatic response to all of your e-mails asking for a refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND IT IS THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!!!
Pros:NOTHING
Cons:DISHONEST SERVICE THAT WITHDRAWS MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT INFORMING YOU IN ANY WAY
Resume.io is made by UI maniacs, they polish each detail and mindfully track user activity to create really perfect interface. It's pity that I create resumes so rare, hope they will create more products in future!
Pros:Simplest way to create a CV with really neat UI.
Cons:Nope
Prices should be stated upfront and not when the person spends a lot of time creating their cv
Pros:easy to use
Cons:Dishonest and intransparent pricing
prices should be upfront and not when the person spends a lot of time creating their cv
this website has a great design. the ui/ux is really great. the team is really responsive, atleast the times I have occasionally come back to create a resume.
Pros:easy to use
7 day trail for minimum fee for quick resumes
Cons:none
Hello team !
Looks like you've bring something cool and new to HR.
The tool is really simple to use, the onboarding is great. UI is also great.
Once signed-up, I was really pleased to see that it wasn't only resume templates. Additional features like cover letters, sharing, application trackers are adding big value to the product.
I might desert my beloved InDesign, because it will be easier for me to maintain and update my resume I guess.
Even if I'm not looking for a job, I'd definitely comeback often to check how it is evolving and maybe use it for close friends or parents when it's needed.
Pros:Complete, clean UI, onboarding, sharing
Cons:Only few templates atm
I used the product to create my CV, and because I want to download a PDF I paid the $2.95 for 7 day trial and be able to download. The price next to it is $44.95 for 6 months, that make sense ($7.5 per month). That was my only use of the product (that again it's very good to make your CV).
And here comes the scam and still not sure if this is the business logic behind them. 11 Days later I check my credit card and they billed $2.95 (what I expected) and another $24.95. So I was really surprise and though that was an honest mistake, but it was not the case. That price is hidden in the price description and all the information is presented in a way to prevent you to notice it. But despite this I cancel my account inmediatelly (I only used once) and ask for the corresponding refund. And like that they cancel my account and never reply nor refund anything.
So, the idea of them is to charge you $2,95 per 7 days, and then charge you a full month price that it's not visible anywhere, never refund anything. And don't expect them to answer to your emails, even less to discount what you already pay from the monthly price. Almost the perfect scam.
I'm really frustrated with their attitude. Just leaving this in here in order to aware others.
Pros:Very nice interface. Very intuitive on every aspect and help you have a quality result in a very short time.
Cons:The price scam. The poor support. The non-response helpcenter.
This is an awful service that doesn't notify you that you have to pay after you put all your information.
Pros:Easy to use
Cons:Doesn't make it clear you have to pay to download
Baby Snap
These guys disrupted the HR process 🔥
Pros:Best-in-class solution
Best UI and templates
Cons:Subscription
Startup School
The team behind this project is awesome. Seems really clean and intuitive.
Pros:Awesome design and a free trial.
Cons:Subscription
I took the 7 day trial, which you pay for, because thats all I needed. Next thing I am getting bill 20 pounds and they say after 7 days you automatically get upgraded. I asked for a refund as I hadn't used the service in the month period and now am getting no response. I think the refund request is fair and understandable and for a company trying to build a good reputation - scamming their customers into subscriptions isn't quite trustyworthy.
Pros:Easy to use good looking cv's
Cons:7 day trial automatically turns into a month rolling contract
Shared detailed feedback in a reply to the maker's comment.
Pros:clean interface
Cons:Too buggy. Bad security. Kind of uses dark pattern.
Charge for templates and integrations. You may generate less revenue per user, but you'll increase the number of user that pay for content.
Pros:Super easy to create visually stunning resumes
Cons:I don't understand why resume builders have business models that rely on subscriptions. How often do you create a resume anyway?
Hope they go bankrupt
Pros:nothing
Cons:Automatic paid subscription!!! Who does that and doesn't offer a refund? That is a daylight robbery!
If you want to use it make sure not to agree to have it upgraded after a seven day trial. After a seven day trial it upgrades membership without approval from its user and charges each month $24.. I went two months without using their services and they charged me the upgraded membership price of $49 (for two months). I tried contacting customer support on 3 occasions over a period of one month and have had my e-mails ignored all 3 times (through their customer support on their site). I then continued contacting them on Facebook with questions about how to use their page just to see if they'd respond. Once they did I went on to explain what happend and that I wanted my money back. Being unable to ignore my messages at this point they promised it would be refunded and it was, in full. I know I wasn't the only one whose messages were ignored for this specific reason of them basically stealing your money without you agreeing. MAKE SURE TO CANCELL THE 7 DAY TRIAL, it's not worth $24 in any way, shape or form.
Pros:Easy to use and creates professional looking CVs which you can download anytime from anywhere.
Cons:Steals money
Used it only for one week, but was a one week heavy user ;)
Pros:- Great user experience
- Many resume layouts
- Helpful customer service
Cons:- There has to be a better solution for the subscription model
- I'm missing a couple of categories
Capture
I finally have a simple way to create, update and share my resume all in one place. Best product I found.
Pros:Excellent web app

Cons:No LinkedIn integration yet
