It's easy to get discouraged when facing rejection, personally or professionally, but one frame of reference to consider: If you're not hearing "no's", perhaps you're not being ambitious enough. Perhaps the most successful people have faced the most rejection because they're bold enough to pursue difficult things.
Of course, I've faced rejection many times. One example that comes to mind is my first application to Y Combinator. I applied with some former coworkers of mine back in 2011 and didn't even get an interview. In hindsight, it was a bad idea (YC made the right choice) but the process of applying was useful and helped years later when we applied to YC in 2013 with Product Hunt.
Would love to hear other Product Hunt folks' rejections stories here in the comments. 😄
@emadmokhtar Rejection is a necessary step to success. You have to hear nos before you get to yes. You just can't let no stop you from continuing to move forward.
