šŸ‘‹ Hello Makers! I'm Guy, the creator of Reiden - Your Brilliant Keyboard Shortcut Copilot. Itā€™s simple we teach you how to be fast with keyboard shortcuts and save 8 days a year. No promises on what you do with the saved time though (Netflix šŸæ...). Itā€™s a basic human itch to want to learn how to do things more efficiently. We are lowering the bar to learn the high leverage keyboard shortcuts. According to studies, every keyboard shortcut saves you between 2-6 seconds per use. So if you click on something 5 times a day, youā€™d save at least 1 hr a year if you learned the keyboard shortcut. The problems: - You donā€™t know what you donā€™t know. With most keyboard shortcuts you didnā€™t even know one existed for the action you do 50x a day. - Itā€™s a hassle to scroll through pages of shortcuts on your favorite app. Some apps have 500+ shortcuts! - Every shortcut is not equal. Given your workflow, some shortcuts might save you 4 hr a year, while others might only save 10 min a year. - ā€œLearningā€ or practicing once is not enough, you need spaced repetition to drive the learning into muscle memory. Reiden: - šŸ’” Shortcut recommendations: Reiden learns what you have clicked on and recommends the shortcuts for those actions in real-time. It then sorts these recommendations by frequency of your clicks - āœ… Shortcut management: Ability to bookmark and mark as learned - šŸ˜Œ Seamless: Reiden passively sits on the top of your windows and makes recommendations for your current app Supports: Figma, VS Code, Chrome, Gmail, Notion, Slack, Firefox, Arc, Safari, Outlook, Apple Mail, Messages, Whatsapp, Google Sheets, Zoom, Final Cut Pro, and more on the way The tech - Reiden uses custom fine-tuned vision models in parallel with native Xcode APIs to determine your workflows. Inference runs locally on device. On a fast computer it runs in ~30ms. On a slow computer can be closer to 100ms. These strategies combined give us an understanding of the workflow to the granularity we need to make keyboard shortcut recommendations. https://reiden.ai/ Weā€™re super excited to hear what you think. If thereā€™s an app we missed that youā€™d like us to add, please let me know and we can get it added in. We also had a Reddit Post spark up a great conversation last week! Reiden is officially launched. Letā€™s save time

@guymorita It's go time! Woot woot!

I highly encourage everyone to just spend five minutes using the app, I almost guarantee you'll learn something new immediately, which is the beauty of this product. I'm a coder who grew up on emacs, so I think of myself as better than the average mouse-wielding n00b, but I'm really not. Thanks to Reiden I might become the insanely productive computer whiz I think of myself as. Also - to draw a comparison, the only other time I've successfully (and willingly - looking at you vi/vim) learned useful keyboard shortcuts was Superhuman. Reiden is kind of like having that Superhuman type efficiency for all other apps, it's there, you just don't realize it, because most apps aren't as good as Superhuman at nudging you to be the insanely productive computer whiz you can be. Love it. Looking forward to somehow giving it money

okay adding this as a comment to myself because it's a little too embarrassing to put as a top level comment. I had forgotten about cmd+L to highlight the address bar in Chrome, and what I would normally do is cmd+W, and cmd+shift+T to reopen the tab, which highlights the address bar. Reiden has helpfully reminded me to use cmd+L instead. I swear I knew about cmd+L, I just...I don't know. Thank you Reiden.
Guy Morita
@chug2k Thanks for the kind words! That's how we like to think of it too. A more optimized, easier learning experience across all apps, not just one. Also yes, would love to take your money in the future.
Guy Morita
@chug2k Ooo have you tried cmd+shift+a?! Search through tabs instead of cmd+tab 20x
Shelley Lin
@chug2k Hey Charles, Honestly, I can totally relateā€”sometimes itā€™s the simplest shortcuts that slip my mind, too. Thatā€™s exactly why we built Reiden, to give those gentle reminders and save a few extra steps. Glad to hear itā€™s been helpful with cmd+L! Hot tip: try bookmarking it so you don't forget it again. Appreciate you trying it out and sharing your experience!

Love this app! im a shortcut freak and I almost never use the mouse! Now... how do you monetize this? is a really cool "nice to have" but i dont think i will pay for it out of the box from what i saw in your video
Shelley Lin
@rupgo I respect your thoughts! & thank you for your support - feel free to use this free version. Hmm, is there anything you can think of that would make Reiden more valuable to you?
Ruben Benarroch Esayag
@linshelley maybe if somehow you give me a once a week or some kind of period, some statistics like "you've done X thing Y amount of times and with this shorcut you could have save 2 hours" because i dont think i would always have this plugin on top of other windows, but if it can show me the amount of time wasted on things i would maybe pay... i gotta give it a better thought but that would be sometihgn it could pump up the alue, at least for me! Hope this helps :)
Shelley Lin
@rupgo wow thanks for the valuable feedback. I can see how that would add value to our users. Happy to pass this along to Guy. Stay tuned, weā€™ll keep you posted!!
Guy Morita
@rupgo Thanks for the feedback Ruben. These are great food for thought. Yeah I'm not sure what could be charged for as well. I'd be curious to hear more about the stats idea. I think it makes sense that if could give more tangible data on your effectiveness now, and how much could be gained by doing X, then would be easier to monetize.
Ruben Benarroch Esayag
happy to help! @guymorita people always tell me how fast i move things around on the computer because i'm always using keyboard shortcuts for everythigns, so i should be your 100% target audience fit... also i think theres a point that shortcuts hit the ceeling... i mean, i use 90% of the time the same tools, and once i figure out all the shortcuts i dont search for more because all my shortcuts demands are satisfied and maybe until months pass by i would stop thinking of searching for more... maybe thinking of doing somethign that makes me want to come again sooner or in a more recurring way would be a nice feature
Bharadwaj Giridhar
Seems very interesting - would there be a windows version anytime soon?
Shelley Lin
@goforbg Glad to hear that - are you a windows user? Right now our app is optimized for MacOS but weā€™d love to hear your thoughts. Weā€™ve had some request for a windows version on our Reddit page and while we canā€™t promise anything yet, itā€™s something weā€™re thinking about.
Shelley Lin
Hello! What an exciting time! Reiden AI saves time by loading shortcuts in real time as I switch between apps. Itā€™s a smart, flexible tool that makes keyboard shortcuts seamless and boosts productivity. The accessibility features are great, and I canā€™t wait for everyone to try it!
Tao Cheung
It's really like a game tutorial UI. You may consider add some gamification stuff, making people learn shortcuts with fun šŸ¤©
Guy Morita
@hidecloud Good point! It currently feels a little boring. Need to add in some things that give more of the feeling of achievement and also add challenge to learn more, continue streak, etc
Shelley Lin
@hidecloud Hi Tao! Nice observation, and thanks for the suggestion. We aren't opposed to the idea of giving Reiden a more gamified experience. This truly makes learning shortcuts more engaging. Turning productivity into something fun could really enhance how users interact with the app. We'll brainstorm this and see how we can incorporate that. Any thoughts on other specific features you'd like to see to make the experience more fun? We appreciate your input. :)
Kevin Lin
@guymorita @linshelley Hi there, casual macbook user here! I've never been a fan of the the gamified features of streaks as they can be daunting/annoying sometimes when it constantly tells you to "not break your streak" or "streak broken" since they sometimes bring in negative reinforcements. But definitely visual cues of achievements, animation when learning multiple cues together or even an animated logo would give more personality! Also, after using it a while it would be awesome if there was a search feature for more advanced shortcuts that we could pin on the app
Othman Kabbaj
Launching soon!
Can I use it in real life too? Like, 'Press T to talk to this individual'? šŸ˜„
Guy Morita
@othman_kabbaj Feature coming soon ;)
Yanlin Wu
Reiden AI is what I'm looking for! I'm not fully familiar with all the shortcuts, and therefore the only things I can do is to use my mouse, which wastes time and makes me feel less efficient. But with Reiden, I can easily use shortcuts to save my time! Brilliant! Contrats on the launch, team!
Yanlin Wu
@linshelley You have no idea how much time I've spent on learning and memorizing the shortcuts haha, but I still forget them after some time... So there's no exaggerating to say "brilliant"! And I'd love to share with you what apps I'm using right now. Since I'm an SEO marketer, I use Adjust and Bifrost to analyse the data, Ahrefs and Semrush to search keywords, WordPress and Neuronwriter to edit articles, and Snov.io to send outreaching emails. Hope it can help.
Kenny Lin
So excited for this to launch! I love shortcuts and this has been fantastic so far!
Guy Morita
@linkenny Love it, thanks for trying it Kenny. Curious to hear your experiences later
Samuel Bissegger
Congratulations on your product, @guymorita! Reiden AI is something that could assist me in continuously increasing my work pace. I'm a big fan of shortcuts, as they make one faster but also have a positive psychological impact on an individual level.
Guy Morita
@samuel_bissegger That sounds good to me too. More fluency, relaxed mind
Simeon Lam
Are there plans to support more apps in the future? šŸ˜„
Shelley Lin
@simdawgg Hey Simeon, you bet. We've got four times the users in the past week, and we're already getting so many app suggestions. Do you have any apps in mind? Just shoot us a response here, and we'll take note of it. :-)
Guy Morita
@simdawgg Open to suggestions! I might know a Guy
Brody Slade
I've been a huge fan of keyboard shortcuts for years, and I can attest to the fact that they can save you a significant amount of time and increase your productivity. However, I've always struggled with remembering them all - there are just so many! That's why I'm excited to learn about Reiden, a keyboard shortcut copilot that can help you learn and use the most relevant shortcuts for your workflow. As someone who uses a lot of different apps and tools, I appreciate that Reiden supports a wide range of applications. One thing that I'm curious about is how Reiden handles conflicting shortcuts across different apps. For example, if I have a shortcut set up in Chrome that conflicts with a shortcut in VS Code, how will Reiden handle that? Will it alert me to the conflict and suggest a resolution, or will it simply prioritize one shortcut over the other?
Shelley Lin
@brody_slade Hey there! Ah yes thatā€™s the universal issue that many of us share I would think. But Iā€™m glad to hear you find Reiden to be resourceful for your type of work. Glad you brought up this question as Iā€™m sure youā€™re not alone. Guy will have better insight on this - hang tight. Heā€™ll be back soon!
Guy Morita
@brody_slade Thanks Brody. Great question. Currently it's recommending "default" shortcuts for whichever app is frontmost. But you're right, if there is a background app that's overriding the frontmost app for a given shortcut, we wouldn't currently be aware of that. Potentially something for the future!
Sanchit Bansal
I gave it a try. Its amazing, but for some reason it only shows me macOS shortcuts and doesn't detect when I am working on other apps like Chrome. I want to utlize it fully. Not sure whats going wrong.
Guy Morita
@sanchit_bansal Thanks for trying the app Sanchit. That indeed sounds like a bug. Would be happy to try to debug it with you. Want to join our discord? If you've already added the privacy permissions, have you restarted the app and potentially the computer?
Andy Pham
Wow! this is really intuitive and really helpful and I like that itā€™s app aware, so I donā€™t have to add any additional inputs for it to know
Guy Morita
@andy_pham2 Thanks! Yeah tried to make it as hands-off as possible. It's there as a helpful tutor whenever you need it
David Patrykowski
I am a fan of finding shortcuts and ways to improve my efficiency, I'd love to try it!
Guy Morita
@david_patrykowski Thanks! Curious to know what you think
Laurynas Keturakis
I like to think Iā€™m pretty good at learning keyboard shortcuts myself but @guymorita ā€˜s Reiden have definitely taught me a shortcut or two new!
Guy Morita
@lketurakis Thanks! Hopefully more to come
Rocky Tang
I used to write out shortcuts on a post it note and stick it on my computer. Now I love pulling up Reiden on the side to remind me what I forgot. It's as addictive as my duolingo!
Guy Morita
@rockytang168 Thanks OG ROCK!
Jonny Miles
this looks super cool. It's relieving that it's running on device, as screen data is pretty sensitive. Will give it a go and see what I can learn! šŸš€
Guy Morita
@jonnymiles Thanks Jonny! Yeah curious to hear your feedback
Jaimie Lo
Wait, this is so cool!! Looking forward to downloading and seeing how it works. Iā€™ve always wanted to utilize more keyboard shortcuts but have just lacked the time and energy to learn them. Maybe with Reidenā€™s help I can keep up with the crazy hip/tech savvy Gen-Zers šŸ˜
Guy Morita
@jaimie_lo These craaaaazy Gen-Zers šŸ¤£. Glad you like it Jaimie! Please help spread the word!
Jahziel Sarmiento
Wow. I need this at work! Talking to patients and providers through chat on a daily basis, this would speed up my response time! Just from the demo I could definitely see myself using this.
Guy Morita
@jahziel_sarmiento That's great to hear Jahziel. Let us know if there are specific apps that would be helpful to support!
