This is the feedback I've been wanting to give meetings my whole career! I love that the survey pops up with my video conferencing software and allows me to take action immediately. I can't wait to learn from the metrics on the dashboard and improve!
Morgan J. Lopes
Thanks @tun_khine. Meetings are too much of our work life to not understand how they're working well and what needs to improve. In just the last week, I've personally noticed how meetings start on time.

Timely product given the increase in video meetings. We've adopted it at New Story to consistently get better and more efficient about how we're spending our time as a team. Insanely simple to use and the data reports are easy to understand.
Morgan J. Lopes
@bretthagler Thanks! I'm looking forward to see how we leverage the learnings to make everyones meetings more effective.

@morganjlopes are there specific industries or types of meetings this works best for? Looking forward to getting the chrome extension up and running!
Morgan J. Lopes
@sarah_lee_ If a team member spends 2 hours or more in meetings, that's over 25% of their work schedule. Optimizing meetings is especially valuable for organizations and industries where meetings are a necessary part of moving projects forward. Creative agencies, consultancies, nonprofits, project-based teams, and sales focused organizations would likely benefit the most from improvements. The Chrome Extension makes it seamless to gather feedback. When team members access a Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Webex meeting... it pulls up a brief survey. 10-20 seconds of reflection and feedback after an hour meeting feels like an obvious win.

Meetings are expensive and devour team members' time and attention. Rate a Meeting helps organizations think more objectively about how their organization runs meetings. As teams and individuals discover opportunities to improve, they're able to increase their impact and effectiveness. Was the meeting: • Started on Time • Ended on Time • Scheduled in Advance • Contain Clear & Communicated Agenda • Necessary • Involve meaningful contributions from attendees • Focused Did the video conferencing tool function properly? Our vision is to inspire actionable insights and help teams weather the challenges ahead... one meeting at a time.

Our team at New Story has been focused on company culture since it's founding. Today, so much of our company culture is playing out via Slack and meetups. We're trying to improve through learning during this season and hope other organizations join us in emerging even healthier afterward.
Christina Martinez
This is awesome. I love that the chrome feature sends the rate a meeting automatically after zoom calls. Question... If you host a meeting with an external person, is there a way to send them a link to rate the meeting as well?
Morgan J. Lopes
@christina_martinez1 Yes! You can either copy/paste the url OR add their email to the invite after you review a meeting.
Ignacio Hernandez
Simple, efficient and worth it. Gives you the right insights and feedback about meetings so you can understand tendencies and improve for the next one.
Morgan J. Lopes
@ihdl Thanks! Considering adding a graph that aggregates days of the week too. It would be great to quantify which meeting days are the best rated.

Amazing--So often we take for granted that meetings are always necessary or work great the way they always have. We're a bicoastal org so (thankfully) we're used to lots of on-screen meetings, but it's important now more than ever to ensure they're effective and clear. THANK YOU for this!
Morgan J. Lopes
Our pleasure @katie_tynes. On-screen meetings really prompted the viability of the idea... it's nearly 100% of the meetings I'm attending these days.
Geraldine Galue
This is great! Does everybody need to download the chrome extension to review or can you send meeting attendees (i.e. people external to your organization) a link to review the meeting as well? I think this will be useful internally but also externally!
Morgan J. Lopes
@geraldine_galue The chrome plugin makes it easier but isn't needed to use the tool. Technically, you don't even need to signup... but if you do it'll allow you to track changes over time. Thanks for checking it out.. check back later in the day once you've been able to test the chrome plugin on a few meetings.

Such a simple but effective way to understand how my team time is spent in meetings! We plan on rolling this out across our entire organization! Thanks for this amazing tool!
Morgan J. Lopes
Thanks @eddie_l_d! Looking forward to see how you use it.
Jennifer Linke
Love this and see this being super helpful - especially right now! Are the questions customizable?
Morgan J. Lopes
Thanks @jennifer_linke. Right now, the questions aren't customizable but that's a great suggestion. What question would you suggest we add?

Having insights into meeting quality will definitely increase productivity, especially during this WFH phase at my company. Can't wait to see how these metrics influence decisions within my department and tasks within my team! Great product. Never underestimate the power of data collection!
Morgan J. Lopes
Thanks @muriel_vega! We're trying to inspired actionable insights within teams and organizations... "the power of data" indeed!
Matthew Marshall
Loved being part of the beta. I used it for my engineering team and quickly saw only 33% of meetings were ending on time and that 45% of my team wasn't feeling engaged during our meetings. Changes are coming!
Annie Brannon
Super intuitive to use and really helpful!

There couldn't be a better time for this tool given that the entire population's new normal is to have virtual meetings, and in this quick shift, we will need feedback data to quickly improve how we conduct meetings! At a previous firm I worked at, we used to calculate how much "money a meeting cost" based on each person who attended. Realizing how expensive meetings really are made me want to drive efficiency in them, know and better understand when they can be replaced with other forms of communication. A tool like this will allow us all to quick adapt and better ourselves to drive efficiency in a crucial part of every business!

I used to rate my meetings in a notebook and then sheets, to be honest, I never felt very connected to it. This tool is simple to use, easy to access and collects the grades from our meetings all in one. I wish I had this tool a long time ago, it would have helped me to take important decisions on how to manage my meetings and making them more productive. Thanks for this product!
Alexandria Lafci
What types of questions do you find are most useful to ask? Do you recommend a universal survey or different surveys for different types of meetings (creative vs. performance vs. presentation) etc?
Morgan J. Lopes
@alexandria_lafci1 Right now, we've standardized meeting feedback into a single template but I love the idea of customizing feedback based on type of organization.
Xander Groesbeek
Always a shocker and yet again valuable to see someone is working on the exact same thing as you do 😅. But we're all Hackers here, so I can't do anything else but upvote your idea here. Feel free to take Rate My Meeting for a spin. We could share war stories.

it's just a copy of Rate my Meeting, a much better product
