Quick Access is an native macOS app written in pure Swift that allow us to quickly access to favorite files, folders and apps. No more cumbersome navigations and frustration remembering your app name
I just took at look at it on the App store. I like the idea, so I'm going to try it out and let you know. The problem with these productivity tools is that people can have very different workflows. For example, I use search a lot so I just add tags to the filename to indicate that I want to keep using it, and search for that tag with spotlight to quickly retrieve.
From my perspective, the potential advantage of this system is that I can cut down on file management, because adding and removing tags (no matter where I store the tag) require editing the file properties. With this solution, I can just drag and drop.
@tweetatmax This is true, but I'm quite concerned about constantly editing file properties (whether automated or not) in order to organize files. No real harm has been done in the sense that no file has been corrupted when file's metadata is edited, but I think it would be a lot safer to minimize "touching" the files. A solution like this (I think) is probably using a database that points to files, so the tags are stored in this database rather than directly on the file. I normally do not prefer storing the tags in a third party database, but it is fine (and probably preferable) for temporary/working files that don't have permanent "status".
Hi, can't be more excited to introduce my next macOS app, that can be very nifty for quicker app launching. Think of it as another dock, but on the status bar and you can organize files the way you want.

The app stays in the macOS status bar for convenient access. Features include
- Drag and drop: you can drag any files, folders and apps you want
- Click on icon to execute. Right click to open context menu for Show in Finder and Remove option
- In the bottom, there's text input in the middle where we can change the title of the tab
- You can clear all items in a tab, delete the whole tab and create new tab
@onmyway133 I'm having issues with this product. I bought it - the concept is awesome. But when I close out of the program all my files disappear. It wont save the tab names and wont let me delete tabs. Help!
@ambur_willis Hi, glad that you checked out the app. I just bumped a new version 1.1.0 on Appstore which has some improvements and bug fixes based on feedback

No one has developed a program yet that lets me get all the info off of my “health” iPhone app. The app is amazing and tracks my health miraculously, however, I can’t print off my labs or info for new doctors. I have heart, kidney, and liver failure... so to instantly have access previous medical records without scourging my phone right in front a doctor, I have to get them all sent from office to office to office to office. As we know, this never happens and doctors miss all kinds of info. Wish I could print off and highlight the info on paper that I know the dr will want from me. It would make the lives of people whom are sick infinitely easier
