Why did we decide to build this?
Back in around 2019, @suchalbojamma, @srinivas_aravind, and I were building a bespoke software consultancy based out of India. Our success in that field was largely due to our ability to hire the best talent really fast. We tried out all the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) on the market, but without exception, found them all to have 2000s era UI/UX, slow clunky products, no built-in AI (making everything manual and tedious), antiquated sales processes, and crazy pricing starting from $5,000/year going up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. 💰
Frustrated by the absolute lack of solutions, I teamed up with my co-founders Suchal and Aravind to build PyjamaHR.
What problems do we solve? 💡

One question, when you're outsourcing so much to AI during the interview process, how does PyjamaHR ensure bias is avoided & unique candidates are not missed? Are the AI review methods open & transparent, so candidates are aware & able to position themselves well?

Diverse and Inclusive Training Data: Our AI models are trained on diverse and inclusive datasets. To give you numbers, out of the 1.5 million datasets our resume recommendation AI was trained on, over 1.15 million were diverse profiles. This helps minimize any inherent biases in our AI. We continuously update and audit these datasets to ensure they reflect a wide range of candidates and scenarios.
Human Oversight: Human oversight is critical to everything we do at PyjamaHR. While AI helps streamline the process, EVERY final decision involves human recruiters. This blend ensures that unique candidates are not overlooked due to any algorithmic AI bias.
Candidate Feedback Platform: We provide a platform for candidates to give feedback on their AI interview experience. This feedback loop helps us continuously improve our processes.
Explainable AI: Our AI always provides a summary of why any particular recommendation was given. Designed to be explainable, we can provide insights into why certain decisions were made. This not only helps candidates and recruiters understand the process but also ensures fairness and transparency.

I was in fact curious to know the whole process. I became a bit clearer with this reply of yours. We are now all using AI and we also know the limitations it has right now. They excel in pattern recognition and predictive analytics but fall short in cognitive reasoning, which I think is still dominated by human intellect.

Potential using AI for recruitment and auto manage ATS is immense.
My last venture was on a similar product and we did get really good responses from tech community.
Increase trial period for a month, let businesses get used to your UI/UX, features enabling auto mode, and a great customer success team who are easily accessible. I can see PyjamaHR being in same bracket as Freshworks & Zoho in future.
